Well, an American would have to be totally nuts to go to Pakistan as a tourist. Somebody burns a Quran somewhere in the world, and the next thing you know, you are toast because you are an American. You could even be a Muslim American. Wouldn't matter. No, thank you.

People in Pakistan don't like the American government, they do like American people. One of my cousin's American friends came to Pakistan for her wedding recently and she was treated fine.

Unfortunately, Americans are a lot more uninformed about Pakistan than say, Europeans or other people are. Americans are always fearful of visiting Pakistan, primarily because of the misconceptions from the media, & the WOT in the AfPak region. Americans do not make good tourists throughout the world unfortunately, many of them are loud & obnoxious, inconsiderate of cultural diversity, & expect everyone to be able to speak English. No offense, but it's true.

How many tourists visit Pakistan annually? How many Americans/Europeans?
