The Party: The Secret World of China's Communist Rulers by Richard McGregor

At least not evade my question, gambit, you give me two answers

1, the Chinese have freedom of information?
2, India is a democratic country?

And you can look up 'Bernie Madoff' or 'Bell City'. Or how about Woodward and Bernstein who brought down a US President? Or how about the Clinton/Lewinsky affair? Stark contrast indeed where in China, merely asking for democracy can get one run over by a tank.

No evidence the "tank man" was "run over" by the tanks as lied by you. Rather video shows the man is well alive, and the tanks try to avoid crashing into him.

The fact is evidently that: authoritarian PLA is 1000 times more benign than democratic US army that can shoot Iraq children relentlessly and heartlessly and yet being excused by not only some heartless democratic Army member but also some brainwashed democratic American citizens.

Yes, I’m talking about wikileak.

But the issue is not about corruption at any level because surely people in position of power are sorely tempted to use whatever power they have for their own gain, in the US or in China or in Spain or in Russia. The issue is this hilarious claim...

True...Because only a truly brainwashed person can make that claim in a publicly accessible forum...

Know you are incurable but this link may serve to loose your ignorant nob slightly. Chen Liangyu - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Note that Mr. Cheng was a member in the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee.

Is this true?

HRIC | ????

Since when does a person need a law license to expose corruption in his government?

LOL! Why don't you google translate this line
作为执业律师期间,他曾因违反律师执 业纪律被停止执业半年;丢掉律师执业资格后,他违法进行有偿公民诉讼代理;

Hope you still have human-grade intelligence to guess it out. In addition to this violation of illegally practicing law without license, he also committed other crimes... not because his alleged exposure of corruption... figure it out of the rest via google translation yourself, buddy.

Right...There was only one 'tank man' in Tiannamen Square that day, no civilian got hurt, and the PLA was conducting a parade.

Wikileaks...???

If Zheng Enchong is a 'fake lawyer' and therefore we should dismiss his anti-corruption campaign against CCP officials, then what make you think we should take Julian Assange seriously? Remember...We are going by your line of 'reasoning'. Sweden is pressing sexual assault charges, from two women, against Assange. His organization is falling apart because its leadership believes Assange gone too far. Human rights organizations condemns him for putting Afghan civilians in danger of retribution from the Taliban. Assange is not a law student, let alone experienced in law, so why should we take his charges of 'war crimes' seriously? Most damaging is the fact that despite Assange's claim that Wikileaks is going through the documents 'line by line', how are we to be certain that Assange and others like him do not alter the documents to fit their biases? Let me guess, you have faith that Assange is honest?

Yup...I also noted this...

Although Chen's corruption charges may indeed be legitimate, it is likely that the dismissal had political reasoning, as Chen is not the only Chinese official who has a history of misusing public funds.
There is nothing wrong with being patriotic to one's country. But not one of the few Americans here will ever, in defense of country and in being patriotic, say something as stupid as this...

You are ignorant to make me unable to speak, in China, any person cursed CCP, you will not have any punishment. Are you surprised?
No matter how much you try to discredit those who were imprisoned by the Chinese government for their anti-corruption campaigns -- you failed spectacularly. The records of the oppression and atrocities of the communist dictatorship upon the Chinese people gathered by international human rights organizations pales in comparison of whatever Julian Assange can dish out about US.

Brainwashed by the communists indeed...

Why bother arguing guys? Stick to the topic as Renegade suggested earlier. Thnx.

I'll first say, this is not a racist attack against any country. But it is true that Vietnamese who are connected with the US were, in the 1960's, far better off than those who were unconnected. How was this connection made? First, there were those with business connections to the US. They exported the mineral wealth of South Vietnam to US corporations and imported raw materials in a typical colonial relationship. They were rewarded generously by the Americans in terms of not only money but political power, as control over the "natives" was necessary to extract minerals. The second were those with personal connections to Americans. They of course, contributed to South Vietnam's economy with the numerous benefits extracted from stressed US soldiers. I won't go into this much as this may be misconstrued as racism. The third were the government officials of South Vietnam who were more interested in accumulating vast personal wealth off the backs of ordinary Vietnamese than in actually governing the country. Economic growth in South Vietnam remained sluggish throughout its existence due to incompetence, corruption and a dependence on the US. However, Vietnamese immigrants to the US usually carry vast amounts of cash, only to have it squandered a generation later by incompetent children who are more interested in being "hardcore Viet thug gangstas" than in success. In contrast, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has displayed a consistent upward economic trajectory. The failures and children of failures in the US (we can't call them Vietnamese anymore; they have nothing to do with Vietnam but their skin color) are jealous of the success the people of Vietnam have found once liberated from their chains. So they are angry at anything and everything that helped Vietnam get to where it is today, especially China, and most of all, hate that Vietnam is quickly adopting China's model, and in some cases, being even more Chinese than we are.

There are so much lies or made up 'facts' in the nonsense above that the rant do not deserve a rebuttal. The vast majority of Viet immigrants to the US came with virtually nothing and they toiled at menial jobs just like the majority of Chinese immigrants who fled communist China did before them. This is nothing more than thinly veiled Chinese racism to other Asiatics that is so often exhibited by the Chinese members of this forum.

Right...There was only one 'tank man' in Tiannamen Square that day, no civilian got hurt, and the PLA was conducting a parade.

Ok, ok, point taken. We are looking forward to your invention of another tank man.

BTW, Liu Xiaobo, the 2010 Nobel Laureate, already said there is no blood-shed in Tiananman square. That's all lie from the West!

Wikileak leaks the truth that American soldiers killed innocent Iraqi children intentionally. Period.

No switching topics! :taz:

Dude, McCarthyism does not equal patriotism.

Many of the Human rights watchers are paid by US and other western funds. Thus, there is no surprise that they are semi-blinded and there is no criticism of killing of 100 million Native Indians in N. America by colonism as far as before, and no criticisms against killing of Thailand democratic advocates as recent as this year, where not only tanks but also chops were employed in the massacre.

Much to your horror, read Why the Chinese support the Communist party – Telegraph Blogs

In fact, the more your type of people exist in this world, the more will the Chinese Communists get supported by Chinese people. Believe me!

Entertaining these ideological discussion may be, they are also beside the point.

No one in their right mind would dismantle a government delivering 10%+ growth plus reform plus security and stability. And certainly no one wants to emulate a government ruled by fat cat bankers and special interest groups. The president, when not crippled to pass to something as simple as health care reform, is busy invading the next Middle Eastern country or trashing his country's space program. Instead of restructuring its struggling economy, the US blames the recession on China, when everybody knows the 2008 financial crisis was triggered by the collapse of american banks.

What Soros said, the whole world sees as well: the Chinese government is doing a better job than the US government.
No amount of american paranoia or right-wing propaganda will change that fact.
