Bollywood > Hollywood??

Stupidity knows no bound.
India is the largest producer of films in the world.[1][2] In 2009, India produced a total of 2961 films on celluloid, that include a staggering figure of 1288 feature films.[3] Indian film industry is multi-lingual and the largest in the world in terms of ticket sales and number of films produced. The industry is supported mainly by a vast film-going Indian public, and Indian films have been gaining increasing popularity in the rest of the world—notably in countries with large numbers of expatriate Indians. Largest film industry in India is the Hindi film industry mostly concentrated in Mumbai (Bombay), and is commonly referred to as "Bollywood", an amalgamation of Bombay and Hollywood. The other largest film industries are the Telugu Film Industry and Tamil Film Industry which are located in Hyderabad, India and Chennai, India and are commonly referred to as "Tollywood" and "Kollywood". The remaining majority portion is spread across northern, western, and southern India (with Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Oriya, Malayalam, Kannada). However, there are several smaller centers of Indian film industries in regional languages centered in the states those languages are spoken. Indian films are made filled with musicals, action, romance, comedy, and an increasing number of special effects.

Mintz Says China May Pass U.S. as Biggest Movie Market

Oct. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Dan Mintz, chief executive officer at DMG Entertainment, talks about China's movie market and distributing U.S. films in the country. He speaks with Jon Erlichman on Bloomberg Television's "Bloomberg West."

China is soon becoming the world largest movie market, since there's no even one Indian movie shown in China for decades.that mean the future of Indian movies will go nowhere.the main movie going countries like Europe,US,Americas ,China,Japan and South Eastern Asian countries dont like Indian movies,I dont know about the situation in Africa,Indian movies may have some market there.

Just looked it up - out of this total - China won 11 Golds, 2 Silvers and 5 Bronzes in ridiculous "sports" like Rhythmic Gymnastics, Artistic Gymnastics and Trampoline.

China is a Communist country with different ideology and different perspectives. Whereas India is a democratic country.
In China there is a Godfather who is pushing and forcing every citizen to give their best, their policies towards the citizens is very different.
India on the otherside is far far more liberal, you do your best or not, no one gives a damn. Ideas are free and not held. People are free to do what ever they want under a constitution and law.

India is growing slow but steady. There won't be any hard compulsions on citizens of India by their government. And this system takes time to develop.

haha, they are always Olympic events, you think their are ridiculous cause you dont know them, and even without those 11 golds,China would be still be No.1,that simple math I guess you can figure it out, right.and by the way,by and standard..where is India?

Your Market is may be great and costly but the Taste of Indian Bollywood is famous around the world. Guys don't come up with crap like that. Bollywood is far far more accepted and loved, don't challenge us in that.
