What's new

The EU Parliament posted this picture on Facebook

I dont know waz...it sounds like you minimize our efforts and sucess.

I'm not minimising anything here my friend. One of my favourite athletes in this year's games was an Italian Judo player called Fabio Basile, an incredible fighter, and he has
such swagger lol.

But anyway, my point is that the EU should not be using the success of our athletes for their own ends.

i think it is ok. We have such hard times right now. We must stand together.

:omghaha:

-Merkel,is another story. We still don't know if she will run for another term or will be replaced by another. They are talking about Von der Leyen (Current MoD.)

Merkel will run and she will be elected, the only question is in which constellation she can build her coalition. The rise of the AfD break up the traditional seats in the parliament.

Von der Leyen will do the devil and venture from cover at an early stage. She will only come out to see whether Merkel is politically dead...and even then she will think again before she compete. :yay:

Not true. I´m an athlete and my training got sponsored by EU funds while i was in sport school. Also today when i compete many competitions are financed and supported by EU funds.
You can blame the EU for many things but often enough athletes are more supported by EU than national governments.
Nope, i take a look on the page of the BMI and i couldn`t find a hint about the EU.

But yes, the EU got some compentences in the area sport, but it seems to me the entire enterprise is more political than really work at the base.

And at least the EU had failed in the years 2012 and 2013 with their funding, sorry only google.
