Targeting US mly aid to Pakistan — a possible ‘memogate’ for PTI

It's PTI now whoring and begging the Americans to come back into power
HOW? Let's settle this for once so you guys can move on to the next lame accusation

How? Is the PTI telling the yanks that it wants to topple the current govt and wants their support in uniting disparate interest groups and political parties feuding for generations, to unite religious nut jobs and ethnofascists. Aik hi saf me kharay ho gaye zardari aur nawaz ?

Or is it simple saying it wants elections and that it's people shouldn't be picked up, threatened regarding their families, tortured and killed?

Like others have said, the US doesn’t give Pakistan military aid any more. The issue we’re discussing is to place sanctions on the criminals and not to allow them or their families into the country and to seize their wealth. And to help with bringing democracy to Pakistan.

We still have F16, US origine radars etc which I suppose require support from Uncle. And uncle is known to give Lollipops to child to abuse them… so maybe crew lollipops are/could be in the pipeline..

So could have an impact on it.

But yes I missed the part of sanctions on individuals (it was late ⏰ in the night here) 👍

As mentioned before, the US or Canada are not monolithic societies with all power flowing from a single source. There are many centers of power and public opinion. In addition, there is the justice system that is independent. It is possible to convince sections of the society to help promote democracy in Pakistan.

Good cop bad cop, sweets and sticks .
If their (USA) interest is to have Pak army fully in their camp it ivoukd be a golden occasion to play good cop bad cop or I should say good uncle bad uncle ! When needed they don’t care about democracy. If removing the “absolutely not” from Pakistan was their plan, or even they agreed with it his genuinely Pakistani plan, I don’t think they will really put sanctions on generals. Maybe some sanctions on few lower ranks officers for public stunts or pro China generals. But it’s good step to make noise about the crackdown and all the democracy and freedom etc..

The issue of suppression of freedoms in Pakistan is being raised in all Western countries.

Haider Mehdi said that he’s learned that in the US, Canada and UK intelligence agencies have started collecting data on violations of human rights in Pakistan. They even contacted him and he knows many Pakistanis they have already interviewed.

Ultimately the people committing crimes in Pakistan will be brought to justice, inshallah.

Insha’Allah ! I pray everyday for the better of Pakistan !

If this is an 'Imported Govt' then how much have Americans helped this govt? You know, if Americans had real power over a nuclear armed nation of 220 million people then you'd notice some major help to Pakistan and Pakistan giving major concessions to Americans.

Why not call a spade a spade?! Even Imran Khan has admitted that this was a 'domestic' issue to topple him. But he admitted that after fooling millions of Pakistanis about the American involvement; he tapped into Pakistanis anti-Americanism and brilliantly restored his sagging popularity.
USA is not chutia like PDM and munira whiskey , they were aiding and supporting Pak mili in the past because they knew military was always remain most popular among the pak civilians since the creating of the country, but now the situation is very very different , army lost respect and now they are looking to cash this situation , they can see IK is reality and he is the true leader of the nation , they dont have any other choice left at the moment

The administration or intelligence agencies may be supporting foreign tyrants but there are ways of making it hard for them.

If Pakistanis raise funds and file class action lawsuits against the criminals it will make life hard for them and the administration will have difficulty in continuing to let in criminals into the country.

Imagine filing a massive lawsuit against Nawaz Sharif. The point can be made that he’s a convicted criminal, so how is he allowed to live in the UK. All his wealth should be confiscated to pay damages to his victims.

The legal route holds a lot of potential.
Normally legal routes yes but here you’re talking about UK - this biggest CENTER of global money laundering, the preferred by a long stretch destination of oligarchs , dictators , bank fraudsters …all high net worth crooks of the world. Chinese Indian Russian Pakistani African …they all flock there, buy their country home and May be a central London Kensington type place and get themselves a lifetime deal with some barrister to handle any potential extradition

One nod from the British/US establishment and the same courts will rule in the looters' favor. Judiciary in the western countries always toes the establishment line, it is the very reason why not even a single cent of Saudi assets worth hundreds of billions in the western world has ever been touched, despite many affected parties having brought lawsuits against them.

It is not yet confirmed whether or not these moves of the PTI activists in the US have the consent of Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf USA chapter’s campaign to invite Washington into Islamabad’s internal affairs and sponsor a bill linking Washington’s military aid to Islamabad to the human rights situation has all the ingredients to become PTI’s ‘memogate’. It is not yet confirmed whether or not these moves of the PTI activists in the US have the consent of Imran Khan, but inviting Washington to interfere in Pakistan’s internal affairs and targeting the US military aid to Pakistan by linking it with the human rights situation here may become a charge-sheet against the party.

In 2011-12, the then PPP government was seriously haunted by ‘memogate’ after the revelation of a memo, delivered to the US military chief Admiral Mike Mullen by Husain Haqqani, seeking help for the civilian government against the military because of domestic turmoil, triggered by the US raid that had killed al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden.

Haqqani though had denied anything to do with the memo, in 2012 a judicial commission, headed by Justice Qazi Faez Isa, had found him (Haqqani) guilty of authoring the controversial memo and added that the former US envoy “was not loyal to the country”. On Sunday, Sajjad Burki, who claims to be the focal person for the USA to PTI Chairman Imran Khan and ex-president of PTI USA, tweeted, “Thanks Tariq Majeed for hosting Congressman Greg Casar. He pledged his support for democracy, human rights and the rule of law in Pakistan. He is co-sponsoring a bill to tie military aid to human rights conditions in a country.”

The tweet also contains a video statement of the US Congressman and the requests made to him by Sajjad Burki and another person. According to the media reports, PTI’s focal person in the US, Sajjad Burki, and party member Atif Khan met Congressman Greg Casar and requested him to do his part in bringing a resolution against the human rights violations in Pakistan.

While asking Casar’s support for the resolution, Burki said that 86 members of the US Congress had signed PTI’s petition so they want him (Greg Casar) to become part of it as well. “You should be able to count on me to be somebody who is asking questions about how the US could be supporting democracy and human rights in Pakistan and other places,” the Congressman said in response. Following May-9 attacks on military installations, buildings, symbols, etc., by the PTI protesters, the Pakistani-American Political Action Committee (PAKPAC) campaign led to more than 60 US congressmen approaching US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to pressurise the Pakistani government to improve the human rights situation in the country.

The committee has commended the 65 Members of the Congress, who are signatories to a letter written to Secretary Blinken, urging him to prioritise the promotion and protection of democracy and human rights in Pakistan.

According to the ‘Dawn’ report, the committee though says it’s only trying to strengthen democracy in Pakistan and does not support or oppose any political party or group, the PTI leader, Shahbaz Gill, did address PAC’s annual dinner recently and solicited support for “those striving to maintain constitutional democracy” in Pakistan. Gill also visited some US lawmakers with the PAC team and explained to them the current political situation in Pakistan. “Some PAC members, including a past president, however, objected to his (Gill’s) inclusion in the team.

A fortnight back, an audio clip allegedly capturing a Zoom meeting between Imran Khan and US Congresswoman Maxine Moore Waters also surfaced on social media. Contrary to his public posturing against the US and against American interference in Pakistani affairs, Khan was heard making behind-the-scenes efforts to repair ties with Washington. He emphasised that Pakistan was currently facing an immensely challenging situation, describing it as the most difficult period in the nation’s history. As the discussion continued, Imran Khan, in his customary fashion, shifted the blame for the attack on the military establishment and intelligence agencies. He claimed that these institutions wielded significant power within Pakistan. Khan appealed to Congresswoman Waters to support him and raise her voice in his favour.

This should have some change reasonable success, keep in mind the Israeli and Indian lobbies are no friend of Pakistan army

I very much hope all military personal visiting US should be banned by the US and their assets frozen till these generals don't hold the elections.
He can they ban their slaves and favourite boot lickers

PA is a terrorist organisation, it should be sanctioned and its gneralz banned. Period!
This organisation is working above and beyond Pakistan and her interests, there direct involvement resulted in the breakup of Pakistan, and nobody asked them why, nobody got court marshalled or prosecuted for their crimes against the people of East Pakistan now BD.
Having said that i have zero hopes from sleepy joe and his cronies. But lets see, Pakistani americans are quite influential, lets see!

Lol army rats will now talk about hypocrisy and traitors!
Army has its own set of problems. It's not above the law. The institute is full of treacherous snakes as well and derailing the democratic process since ever. I don't support it blindly but khan needs to put his house in order and work with all the politicians to basically reduce the military influence. Openly attacking the institution has brought us back colonial ages. Politicians never learn, still sucking on one tit of the military to kill the other party. Not long before PDM will be under artillery fire.

Banana republic at it's finest with lumber 1 judges, politicians and generals.

After the Haqqani-Bajwa files got exposed, I think it became apparent for Imran Khan to interact with the Americans at some level. He wasn’t asking them to “put him back into power”, he was trying to mitigate what Haqqani had said to the Americans via Bajwa.

Infact, this guy managed to even get a meeting with him and ended up forcing the boomer to spill the truth out. He then took a picture with him to prove he met Haqqani. The guy is an absolute legend for this.

What I didn’t like was IK tweeting about it to be honest. This all could have been done behind closed doors. I even criticized Imran Khan for that in a topic I created a month back…he was digging himself a hole.

But after what those two snakes Bajwa and Haqqani did, Imran Khan had to approach the Americans to debunk the lies.

That doesn’t equate to lobbying.

I don’t see Imran Khan capitulating like Benazir did and Nawaz did when the army came knocking in the 90s. Why didn’t they stand up to the establishment like Imran Khan is doing right now?

Instead, they took bargains and accepted military demand for exile…they stepped aside and waited for the military to put them back into power.

TF are you even talking about.

Nobody claimed to be no 1 or men at their best except the worst creatures ever to live on this planet.

Secondly there is no institution in pakistan at all. Only khaki creatures have been those who have openly attacked the unarmed. Labelled abused and openly mocked Law of the country. A group that have only lost and fd up everything they touched. So now the "enemies" have become too many to handle. Even their die hard fans are now crying openly. And their arrogance is now coming right infront of them. What u reap u sow.

Good luck with gaining so called respect with posters, songs, bodies, statues, kidnapping unarmed civis, and on barrel of a gun. But be ready today someone's else family is getting abused, tomorrow it will be theirs for sure.
