No, Taiwan issue is hampering Chinese development and expansion to the Pacific, Taiwan island is blocking Chinese navy access to the big Pacific, making China literally a landlocked country. Besides, an anti-China Taiwan allied with US is a fundamental threat to Chinas national security, China wont allow this situation to last forever. China can always look for other reasons for Chinese power expansion in the future, its only nature that a countrys military and power influence expands globally as the nations economy and technology gets stronger, China doesnt have to be apologetic about the power expansion to protect Chinese people and interests overseas.

China got a different history. The political hegemony is often settle in the North or central plains through war. The South will just surrender.

These days, you keep seeing Taiwanese calling the soldiers to surrender. Even the DPP dont dare to take action.
