Tail Choppers to re-equip with JF-17

Personally I like the F7s. I think that PAF should raise a sub branch like air national guard which comprise of the F7s.
F7s along with Mirage 3s of PAF have high loss rate and dangerous to handle. Considering condition of old platforms the only feasible platform for national guard role is F7PG which may also require further upgrades.

very welcoming news for thunder program to be equiped by oldest squadron of pakistan

Oldest squadron of the Pakistani Air Force.

Actually No. 9 and No. 5 are the oldest PAF squadrons respectively.
Some sources suggest that 9 + 5 = 14.....that's how No 14 came into existence as the third oldest PAF unit.

What happend to the ca. 40 A-5 Fantans ? Did they get a last overhaul in the F-6 rebuild factory befored stored, or are they parked to be rust down in the desert.

Good to see another squadron being raised. We need to raise 1 every year to keep a healthy replacement rate going for old F7 and Mirages.

Congrgulations PAF.
So that's how many operational block 2s in total?

No, actually this name was given because a fighter from this squardon chopped the tails off (with machine gun fire) parked IAF aircrafts on an IAF airbase.

That's good info thanks...
