Something is wrong with the number of guests at certain threads.

Look at these screenshots (taken 5 minutes before posting this thread).

Is it normal to have so many guests in one thread?

I have never seen that before in any of my or other threads.

They might be bots.

I think that they are bots.

Certain threads show up on Google search results in the first page. Such a thread would attract a high intermittent flow of guests for that reason alone.

It can be the answer, this site also has system to detect bots, I see the number of visitors around 1500 and robot around 140.

There are few search engine crawlers that pop up as soon as you post the thread with in first five minutes. they usually show up as 4 to 5 visitors. then there are few FIA MI6 & and other agencies data collecting crawlers which will also visit new data emerging on internet. The come Journalism data collecting crawlers which visit sites to document them for news data bases. All these crawlers have different visit times in 24 hours. These are the usual bot and content sniffers. The traffic which you see is usual normal human traffic which has gone up due to lock down.

This is what happens what collective attack are like. I have pointed this out to the admins here, but they will not take any action, citing low evidence. Basically, there are telegram and discord servers. Where people post links in a group, and other users in that group all attack. There was a similar discord server, where one of the channel was called PDF. I believe those creatures were posting links to threads here.

This would be a similar thing that you saw. A crawler bot would be max 6 to 9 at one time. But when its 100+ , there high chance this was planned attack.

This is normal. Guests are mostly readers reaching forum through social media thread links. Not necessarily to be members. 69 isn't a number yet if you have seen hundreds of guests at a time. No worries.
