What's new

So Gen. Asim Munir is more likely to be Pak next COAS

Every PM wants to court COAS for his political benefit on the other hand. If COAS does not give in to PM's every demand then PM cries wolf. The problem of bruised egos...

Forget about COAS reporting to Defense Secretary. Not happening in Pakistan.
For Pakistan to survive the COAS position needs to be removed.

Who the f'k care who becomes the next COAS, whoever it will be his primary responsibility would be to keep political chaos in Pakistan since political stability is a threat to real estate developer as more money goes to industry.

I don't give a shit whoever becomes the COAS. These fvckers need to be kept out of politics. They must return to the baracks including their chief.

Can you please enlighten us which demands by IK that weren't met by COAS resulting in IK crying wolf?

More than love for IK, the public sentiment is against the establishment.

It is, paradoxically, a good thing. Criticism will force them to introspect and hopefully other institutions will have the political capital to reign in the institution.

Results come later ...

Then we can talk about results where there are any. IK has said he will be there when the resumed march reaches the capital "in 10-14 days".

People are least concerned, what difference will this change of guard makes.

A new COAS will still be a stooge of the US.

You did not grasp the message.

In general terms: The COAS is very strong figurehead in Pakistan. The PM has to work with the COAS on various issues of national interests. But this working relationship should be kept professional and should not be tapped to settle political feuds with political opposition among other political matters in order to remain on kursi. Point is to reduce the role of Pakistan Army in political affairs of the country. But every PM in Pakistan is very eager to please and court the COAS for political favors. Why every PM is willing to give extension to the COAS? The next COAS will not do his job?

The PM should strongly focus on reforming and improving Law Enforcement Agencies including Police forces and Judiciary to counter corruption and criminal elements, and also to countercheck politically-motivated unrest.

The PM should also be aware of his political strengths and options. He should not make decisions that might put him on the collision course with forces that he cannot handle.

Khan was in hubris unfortunately. Some elements in Judiciary were willing to help him but he made some bad calls that led to restoration of the statusquo. The Establishment became too powerful and took advantage. Now Khan is crying wolf.

I hope that Khan have learned from his mistakes.

Your point COAS is exactly the root cause of all ills, and the reason why army is now feeling the heat.
Why should COAS need to interfere in parliamentary affairs in the first place. COAS should not have a last word at most he should advise to gov and cabinet on matters pertaining to Defence security and that's it. Its the PMs call on what policy he wants. COAS aren't professional or dignified people since they have always accepted extensions without even thinking regarding institution either.
Again army is not above country. If PM is making a decision he will pay it politically and if required through judiciary. But Generals aren't holy cows either. Same should be the case with them. Otherwise don't bother when the institution comes under fire through public opinion.
I'm sure whoever becomes next PM has learned their lessons. But how much army has learned only time will tell.

Don't know what you mean?
If you mean Imran Khan will be eliminated by then! Savior is bigger than killer.
Though BB was eliminated in Karsaz 2.0 in pindi on Dec 27, 2007.

If IK is eliminated, he will reach his God, but there shall be a civil war in Pakistan.
But IK has taken a wise move and he would reach pindi after the new posting.

In any case, establishment has tasted dirt and will be forced to live in dirt with less than equal Pakistanis.

I take that you have read vast history, indo-pak, rashidun Caliphate, Life of the Messenger, and world history.

Evenst are shaped much later than trigger events.

The Law: Change is the only Constant in the World.

Omg! You’re delusional you need to read history books regarding fascist leaders & dictators and see their end. Sadly, khan is heading in same direction.

PA is intact with full glory the only people who are facing dirt are those who brought this fraudia in power.

What makes you think that Allah will favour a 70 sala narcissistic budha, corrupt, dual face, fraudia over Pakistan & PA?

Before preaching others about Rashidun Caliphates. If you read & see the standards, I bet Niazi don’t even qualify to work as a chaprasi.

Asim Munir retired 2 days before Bajwa, how he can be the next COAS.... changes in retirement per DEMAND....
