2) Some Global Times articles seem to indicate that Chinese prefer Shahbaz over Imran. Chinese have the nickname 'Shahbaz speed' ? CPEC thrived under Nawaz, but has allegedly slowed under Imran. The Chinese were reportedly not happy with the establishment's move to remove Sharif family even back in 2018. Many Pakistanis here seem to think that US is the only party that prefers Sharif over Imran, but they over look the possibility that Chinese may also prefer a Sharif for Pakistan.

This may be true in the sense that, while the CCP sees CPEC as a strategic initiative, individual Chinese companies are only in it to make a profit. The corrupt elite in Pakistan were experts at making deals with foreign companies where money was borrowed for projects which were priced deliberately high to include a bribe for Pakistani officials. Imran Khan wanted to stop such practices and put in place an oversight process, which would annoy the foreign companies. However, it was the right thing to do.

After capitulation of our establishment, the Saudis have a right to be circumspect and not regard Pakistan like what it used to.

The Saudi foreign policy strategy is to spread its eggs and move away from being a pro American staging point in the Middle East. Saudis and UAE have made considerable moves to steer away from US. We all know that.

Now coming back to establishment choosing US. There will certainly be a blowback in terms of relations with China/Saudi/UAE.

The establishment the supposedly experts and sole owners of foreign policy of Pakistan better made sure loans/aids/investments are arranged from IMF/WB/USAID now that it will dry up from China/Middle East.

Isn't it obvious what is happening.

1) No word on China's $2.5b rollover which was supposed to be with SBP 3 weeks ago.
2) Russia official account tagged Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and no one from the American puppets.

Other countries also have eyes and ears. We lost all respect and proved to be an unreliable sellout with no backbone.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail on Wednesday told a news conference that the government had requested Saudi Arabia not to withdraw its deposits given to the State Bank of Pakistan and extend its oil facility for Pakistan.
