It sounded like Mutta to me as well and I have no knowledge regarding Hazrat Umar RA banning Mutta. All I know it's considered adultery in Sunni Islam.

I don't think it's Misyar that this article talks about nor do I agree it's an equivalent of Mutta for two reasons:

Firstly there's no expiry date on Misyar. It's a long term marriage where the wife give her right to live with the husband and him spending on her. Children of Misyar take their father's name.

Lastly, the wife inherit when the husband die.

Pakistan does have lots of problems. Will they be solved by pretending they don't exist, or embracing them as ordinary business, or pretending that Pakistan is no worse than other countries? You're letting pride enforce bad government and poverty!

Yeah, it does have a lot of problems. People are trying to solve them, it will take a while but they will be solved. People are slowly getting sick of the status quo politicians and eventually Pakistan will undergo a transformation and start developing rapidly. There's lots of potential. What Pakistan needs is good leaders and a change in mindset (which is already happening).
Pakistan could use a lot of things to solve the problems. (Educated leaders, educated public being the main thing)
But some random American constantly bashing Muslims and Pakistan on an internet forum won't solve anyone's problems.
