Russia Inadvertently Posts Its Casualties In Ukraine: 2,000 Deaths, 3,200 Disabled

We have no soldiers fighting in Donbas. If Ukrainians want to fight us, they are welcome to come to Crimea. It just shows Ukrainians are a bunch of cowards. We took over Crimea without firing a single shot when nearly half of Ukraine's military was stationed in Crimea. Ye we also found 40 MiG-29s there and wrecked the 36 that didn't work.
If they didn't work anyway, why wreck them (rather than take them over and put them back into service or use/strip them for spares)?

Must be connected to the british then, no one should trust western propaganda.

More than half a year after putting itself up for sale, US publishing giant Forbes Media has found a suitor in a group with strong China ties even though none of its members are actually Chinese.
...
The new ownership group ... has strong ties all around China’s periphery without any actual owner based in the Chinese mainland. The buyer group is anchored by a Hong Kong company called Integrated Asset Management, which was founded by Hong Kong investor Tak Cheung Yam. One other significant investor is Wayne Hsieh, co-founder of Taiwanese PC giant Asustek

2000 dead...in 1.5 years

That's worse than any similar span in Iraq (4500 over 13 years) or Afghanistan (2400 over 15 years).

Completely different circumstances. Even if this report was true, since we don't know if it is, you re comparing it to a horribly wrong situation.

The Russians are fighting an actual conventional military, without air support, without modern equipment, and under the guise of being federalists/separatists.

To put it into context for you, how well do you think US soldiers would have done if they were fighting with the same weapons and equipment as insurgents and they had zero networking and zero air support. Also add that instead of fighting insurgents they are fighting a large conventional army.

Losses would be....different to say the least.

Actually another article mentioned up until March 1st so the casualties are even higher for the time period.

But you are correct if they want to fight a war with little air support or equipment it's going to be a big sniper shootout.

It's not like Ukrainian army has air support either. Plus Ukrainian army has limited bullets because only Lugansk makes bullets and Lugansk is in rebel hands.

I expect roughly a 1 to 1 casualty between Ukrainian soldiers and terrorists.

Ukraines military is not limited in amunition supply since NATO is actively supporting it. Unless US support stops bullets will keep coming. The Ukrainian army had air support for some time. But logistics wise the Ukranians still have enough of an air fleet to keep things flowing in other parts of Ukraine, something the federalists/rebels do not have the luxury of.

NATO cannot supply the Soviet caliber bullets used in Ukrainian war.

Ukrainian air force has no way of getting spare parts. Jet engines only last a few days of flight. Helicopters are too vulnerable to MANPADS.

I'm quite sure some former Soviet bloc countries that are now part of NATO have ammo factories.

I'm sure Russia doesn't have a monopoly on fabrication of spare parts. Blades yes.

They transitioned to NATO calibers. They cannot supply ammo to Ukrainian army.

Yes it does. Only Russia builds engines of Su and MiG family jets.
