By not evacuating it's citizens or letting Pakistanis in from Iran border?

People were not evacuated from China.
1) Because Pakistan won't just evacuate citizens and leave Chinese to think even Pakistan abandoned them in the time of need.
2) To keep Chinese faith in their own healthcare.
3) Knowing China has a far more developed health infrastructure and those Pakistanis were better off there instead of letting them in and making them super carriers to spread it all over the place, given Pakistani culture is known to not only treat sickness at home but entire families will be visiting the sick and sitting in close proximity.

People were Evacuated and allowed in from Iran.
1) Because Iran has terrible health infrastructure
2) It was out of control in Iran and they were unwilling to admit it, let alone try to control it
3) Iran is just not the same as China is to Pakistan

So, what's the difference between quarantining people in China or in Pakistan when they are going to be quarantined anyway and away from their families?

Pakistan is not the best equipped country to handle any outbreak.

I think this guy is being used by the government to do some damage control and boost its sagging image

this guy knows what you don't, and what your Bollywood logic will keep you from knowing anyway (period)

Yes but once it gets in your respiratory system does not matter what temperature it can be lethal.
It won't survive elsewhere inside your body ,like if it's gets in your stomach ,the temperature inside and digestive acids will kill it.
Wrong regarding the virus dsnt survive temperatures above 30 degrees.

Mate I am praying for summer to come early now. April is usually hot, I hope Pakistani sun will boil this shite.

Here in UK we are in long haul, no sun for days!
Yes I also want summer heat to come asap.
Hate rainy season. Next week more rains are coming in Pakistan that means less heat . That sucks.

Well if you are not some doctor then you are just like me relying on online published articles. Only time can tell who is wrong.

In:
India-Save yourself with cow urine
Pakistan- Save your self
Anything like that happening in your country yet even though virus has found its way in?
You may wanna tell your govt to put in such measures or it will spread like freaking wildfire.
PS:- Dont bank on summer, India has a few cases in Rajashtan.
In contrast, this is what is going on at Chicago airport arrival:-

You are coming back to the same thing all over again. Not going into geopolitics of reasons why Pakistan didn't let students come in. So are you telling Pakistani students were Guinea pigs for the Chinese citizens to believe in their own health system? Is the mandate to protect the citizens of Pakistan or China? I am sorry but even if Indian PM had behaved in this way we all would have blasted him/her. Lastly not me, but the PM of Pakistan told they don't have the means to deal with the epidemic, and not me.

This statement from resident commissioner is just a feel good comment to calm the masses and nothing more.

So much "concern" about Pakistan's way of handling this crisis, yet you remain silent on Canada

Please avoid spreading any misinformation here. There is no indication the virus will subside in the summer.

It's summer in Australia, and they have over 300 cases already.

10 steps Pakistan is taking to contain coronavirus

Islamabad: As the world braces for an overwhelming number of coronavirus cases, Pakistan has announced some drastic measures to contain the spread of the virus, officially known as Covid-19.

On March 13, for the first time, Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) meeting was held to discuss the looming healthcare crisis. Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the meeting of NSC, a council composed of top civil and military leadership, to review the alarming health situation. The premier directed the officials concerned to devise a comprehensive strategy to prevent the spread of the disease, and take immediate countermeasures.

“While there is a need for caution, there is no need for panic,” Khan advised the public. While urging the people to follow basic hygiene and precautionary measures, he assured them that the health of the people is the government’s foremost priority. He also tweeted that he would address the nation soon and that he is “personally overseeing measures to deal with Covid-19”.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan has risen to 52, according to local media reports. There are reports that there could be more than 200 suspected cases in hospitals. Pakistan has so far screened 894,256 travellers, according to the March 12 report by National Institute of Health (NIH).

These are top 10 steps announced by Pakistan government:

1. National Coordination Committee for Covid-19 has been established to monitor the situation and take necessary decisions on a daily basis. The committee will have the representation of all provinces and relevant stakeholders.

2. National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) will lead the operations and coordinate with the provincial and district authorities for the necessary implementation of the preventive and curative actions.

3. All educational institutions (schools, colleges, universities, madrassas), both public and private, will remain closed across the country until April 5, 2020.

4. Pakistan will also completely seal its western border with Afghanistan and Iran for two weeks for both travellers and trade to prevent the spread of the pandemic coronavirus. All Pakistani pilgrims arriving from Iran will be placed in 14-day quarantine.

5. Kartarpur, a revered Sikh shrine, will be closed for Pakistani citizens. Indian pilgrims will be allowed to continue visiting.

6. To effectively screen travelers, Pakistan will allow arrival and departure of international flights at only three airports – Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad – with enhanced safety measures. Seaports will remain operational with increased screening and surveillance measures.

7. All public gatherings and large conferences have been banned with immediate effect. Wedding halls and cinemas will be closed for two weeks. Pakistan Super League (PSL) cricket matches will be held without any spectators.

8. Minister for Religious Affairs and Council of Islamic Ideology officials will reach out to Islamic scholars and relevant leaders to work out the modalities for effective management of religious services in the wake of coronavirus.

9. To limit the spread of Covid-19, no visitors would be allowed in prisons for three weeks. Also, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and provincial high courts requested the suspension of all proceedings of civil court, and asked that no cases are scheduled for the next three weeks.

10. A comprehensive food security plan will be devised to avoid any food shortages or hoarding in the coming weeks and months.
