What's new

Pakistani TopGun School inducts the JF-17 Thunder fighters.

Great news...:toast_sign::yahoo: PAF should keep things secret and give surprises like this more often...feels good to tease the haters afterwards...

New aircraft would have gone to older squadrons who have experience of maturing newly built aircraft. If you know what is the role of new squadron it will be obvious that they wont receive newly built aircraft. They are not into trying newer blocks thingy. CCS has always used matured aircraft.

16 or 26 squadrons would've received new birds to make up for lost inventory. PAF does not release such info. We all know that.

or ye baat apko air chief marshal ne nashty ki table per batai thi sir jee? jab info release h nhi hoi to apko kesy pata hai ? or ye kesa maan ka takka secet hai jo bach abacha janta hai ?

It is a guess by corelating facts. If you are building planes and raising new units, where will they go?

At least one of the JF-17 is equipped with IFR probe, however the aircraft at the end of the line caught my eye, wonder if it's a Mirage.

Welcome back!

Windy, these are old BLK1 jets, so the Panthers have colocated at CCS? We thought it would be BLK2 jets??

Good news. Looks like IFR probe installation is taking a bit longer. I hope this base is well protected. Lots of PAF assets here.

So is this officially the 3rd squadron of the '17s being formed and the F7s of CCS being replaced? Maybe we won't know for a while.

Look closely borrowed from both 16 and 26th squadrons.

Is this a temporary detachment? Can birds from various squadrons be borrowed like this because this would effectively weaken the squadron strength.

The day you will know 150+ jets are in Use in 2015 you will act like

16th and 26th sq transferred their surplus aircraft. It would not weaken their squadron strength. Both squadrons had 22-21 JF-17 and last 6 Block-1 are still with T&E team which would soon be transferred

It seems PAF sticking to the basics and ain't trying something drastic or out of blue. 26 squadron along with T&E based at kamra are accustomed to flying new machines off the production line. They have more experience in detecting if any kind of structural or such anomalies may arise

CCS aren't accustomed to such role. What their purpose is to enhance the envelop of JF-17 by pushing it to maximum.Develop advance tactics. They can't do that with new JF-17's.

3rd Squadron at CCS would all be comprised of old aircrafts. New production batches would be handed over to T&E along with 26 Squadron and 16 Squadron and both these Squadron would transfer there old planes to CCS squadron.

CCS does not have its own dedicated squadrons. Aircraft are seconded from regular combat squadrons as per the need of CCS training and curriculum.
