Fawad Khan to sing again!

Pakistani singer-turned-actor Fawad Khan confirmed reverting back to the music industry after a hiatus of many years.

While throughout all this time he charmed his fans on-screen playing lead roles in dramas and movies, his heart really lied in music.

Music is one’s true calling, and for Fawad it couldn’t be more true. He is busy working for a song in which he has invested hugely.

Fawad also revealed that he will not only croon to the song but also star in its video. The video song will soon hit everyone’s screens, Fawad promised.

The best of PSL 2018 music

So, as this year’s PSL comes to a shocking wrap today, we thought we would take a quick look at the best music that came this year because PSL’s contribution to music and vice versa.

5. Zafar’s Dil se Jaan Lagade

4. Faakhir and Aima Baig’s Agae Shaan Se Hum for Quetta Gladiators

3. Zafar’s Kitna Rola Dalega for Islamabad United

2. Call’s Hum Zalmi for Peshawar Zalmi feat Leo Twins

1. Aaroh’s Jeet

This explains why some songs are called foot tapping numbers. Tap. Tap. Tap. Where is all this energy coming from? It’s like they packed the eight nine odd years hiatus into one thumping racy punchy number and you can’t stop listening to this song; can’t stay still when its playing.

Can’t stop singing along when it’s on. Also can’t get over the fact that this song actually has nothing to do officially with PSL. On second thought, not really bothered by that because this is such an awesome song! Perfect in every way, note, riff down to the tee. It has got all the right messages rolled into the perfect umm…well… kabab roll.

This song gives you World Cup flashbacks when you close your eyes. Or even when you open them, to stare at the riveting video. Do watch it to see if “that” iconic cricket moment features in it. It mostly does!

Sajjad Ali’s soothing voice always seems to strike the right chords. Giving hits after hits since the 90s, the Har Zulm singer has made a huge name for himself.

Releasing a brand new song titled Lagaya Dil, Sajjad does it again with his magical vocals. In typical Sajjad-style, the song talks about love, heartbreak and all the baggage that comes along with it.

Starting off with Lagaya Dil, Sajjad speaks of unrequited love and how a lover can talk about everything going on in the world but still be unable to confess his admiration. Oh, how this one-sided love takes a toll on you.

Moving on, Sajjad delves into the idea of teenage love. He also mentions that he’s not sure if whatever he feels is, in fact, love or childish infatuation.

The track then speaks of confusion – where the lover mistakes love for friendship, leading to tears of heartbreak. It speaks of separation and the harsh reality of the world that does not allow two lovers to cross paths – and the pain that comes with it.

Sajjad also poetically states how it’s always the ones close to your heart that hurt you the most and that strangers are mere distractions.

While Sajjad woes listeners with a soft, melodic and meaningful song, the video does full justice to the lyrics as well. Directed by Sajjad’s daughter, Zaw Ali, Lagaya Dil tells the story of seven people indirectly connected to each other.

Set in what seems to be a university, the visuals sync perfectly with Sajjad’s words of young, heartbroken and unrequited love – something that every individual goes through at least once in his life.

A treat to the ears, Sajjad’s Lagaya Dil brings forth the perfect balance of emotions that is sure to make you feel content about life.

Pop star Atif Aslam is all set to shoot a video in Los Angeles for his upcoming song Baarish. The girl that he and the producers of the track have chosen to feature in the video is none other than the delightful Nushrat Bharucha.

In case you’re finding it difficult to place her, well, she is the star of two of the very interesting Indian films that have caught the fancy of the younger audiences in recent times: Pyar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. So, now Nushrat B is Atif ke video ki cutie.
