Pakistan will not accept India as UNSC permanent member: Nawaz

Nawaz Sharif should stop trying to punch above his weight. Pakistan is not in a position to dictate terms to other countries.

No one is dictating India, U.S or anyone. Your brain is farting like a PTI troll. Nawaz is saying what every Pakistani wants to hear and there is no harm or violation in expressing that opinion. There is something called freedom of speech

Noora is just another Saudi-stooge in Pakistan:

Pakistan can't dictate US on India gain the permanent membership in UNSC but Pakistan will convince China to further delay the process. China will listen to Pakistan.

And the West achieves its objective of creating a divide in Asia.

It knows all along that China will reject India/Japan (btw ..without Pakistani input) so why should they be the ones to say 'no'.

It the old game of divide and rule. In this case forcing India and Japan against China.

The U.S. needs a catalyst to push India into their camp and I guess this may be one..

China never said that it would back India's UNSC membership bid; its only Indian foreign minister who gave the impression that China was good with it. Its all propaganda from Indian Modi Machine to harangue an artificial aura of regional dominance. A hegemonious ambition that will never come true.

Very much so; but Obama has the tendency of adding his personal touch to every global strategic move that originates from pentagon desk which is a disastrous scenario. It doesn't augur well for USA in keeping the regional balance when it comes to steering the balanced international relations. History reveals it that OBAMA's personal thoughts have been an utter failure in international strategic affairs and he totally lacks any wisdom that is worth quoting in that area!

Don't be butt-hurt, only a madman would say Bangladesh should be a member of UNSC. Accept the truth, your military is nowhere near the top 3.

Multilateral institution and deciding global politics are 2 different things.

Take a look between 3 and 4.

If countries in the position 5 and 6 can be a permanent member of UNSC, why can't the nation at position 4???

The current UNSC are WW2 winners and an expansion will include more than 1 country. Very few of world nations support the expansion by 1 state.

The proposed change was to include not 1 but 4 new permanent members which are Brazil, Germany, India, and Japan. They comprise the group of G4 nations, mutually supporting one another's bids for permanent seats. The United Kingdom, France and Russia supports G4 membership in the U.N. Security Council.

How can India become a UNSC member when it refuses to enforce UN mandate in Kashmir. What signal does this send to the world.

If India gets a permanent seat then Pakistan must declare war on India and nuke it.

As per UN charter, a country that doesn't have conflicts with its neighbors is eligible for such a position and India doesn't met the foundation criteria. The oldest issue on the table of UN is unresolved because India didn't accept Kashmir's legitimate right. Even when Kashmir issue is resolved, Indian would have to develop friendly terms before it can be nominated for the position.

isn't China and Russia also backing India as well?
this could get awkward.

All the P5 countries are just offering lip service. They are not ready to dilute their veto power. The only way India can get a permanent membership is by getting so strong, like China is now that P5 without India would look silly. Until then, there is no chance.

Because India has 1/6 of the earth's population, but Japan is impossible

I think there are two Asian security council members, the population of east and South Asia account for half of the earth's population,,Brazil can be used as a representative, South Africa, as the representative of Africa, Europe do not need to be expanded

Openly yes but China will definitely veto a resolution calling for India to be part of UNSC. They would probably say they had to veto it as it hampers Pakistan's security.

The US and P5 openly supports the expansion of UNSC but oppose it discretely as it would decrease their veto power (2 vetos would be required to stop a UN resolution).

Also India's military and geo-political strength is nowhere near the top 3 (US, Russia and China).

How???

We have third largest economy in PPP. We are Nuclear and missile power.

Our potential to grow and strengthen is much more than all 3. All other 3 are past their best.We have yet to achieve our best. Our economy is rising at 7.5% and shall cross 9 to 10 % soon.

Ha Ha .Look open wide your eyes look around the world.Unlike you,China will give some value to her own words.China
dont allow Japan. But they wholeheartedly agree with our membership.Because after Russia,China .India is the only nation that has independent policy.

On topic: Nawaz I am totally convince .He needs west support to maintain his nations budget .Yet he has guts to dictate them .Terrific.
Pakistan is not in a position to challenge India.
