Pakistan Navy Submarine Force to Equal the Indian Navy’s in Numbers with Purchase of 8 Chinese Subs

hahahaha lol
for that u need to expand your navies budget equal to your total budget atleast to buy and operate it
Not true, Thailand owns and operates an aircraft carrier with a defence budget lower then Pakistan's.

Pakistan navy should idealy be
4 ssbn
12 ssk
12 ffg
6 ddg
20 corvets
3 squadrons of fighter jets of medium weight 4.5++ generation
If budget allow then to deny any aggressor specially indian dream of controlling arabean sea and naval blockade of pakistan

How about 20 ACC and 500 Gen 5 aircrafts?

i think you should control you imagination. We will never have more than 10 frigates in surface combatants as it is not part of our naval doctrine.

Pakistan should move to develop it's own Submarines at home, SSK with AIP Systems and SSBN with Nuclear Propulsion.

Financially and Industrially A country like North Korea is able to develop it's own subs that can launch nuclear missiles. How hard would it be for Pakistan?
South Korea has a much larger industrial base and a develop country in Asia. Pakistan and India are far behind industrial development.

Yeah, so in that time no more subs will be inducted?
The Agosta 70 will be retired, the 90B will last longer then them.

Yes no more subs will be inducted... but PN will look for other surfaced vessels...

At the moment PN must concentrate that they get the 8 subs on time and with as many as possible produced indigenously. Pak must take this opportunity and try to turn it into another JF-17 thunder like project which can act as a launching pad for our future indigenous projects. We have previously built the last Augosta 90 in Pakistan so its not like that we lack the capability.

Secondly PN must beef up its air arm. In any future confrontation with eastern neighbors our air arm must be able to deal with anything IN's aircraft carriers throw at us in addition to their other airbourne assets.

It will take 12 more years for all the subs to arrive and by this time India will have 4-6 SSN, 12SSK, 4-5 SSBN

Also by 2028 The Agosta 70s which are already 37 year old will be nothing but a rusty cylinder.
Why this post was given a negative rating? What forum rule is broken? Is it because someone with power of negative rating does not agree with his view point?
@waz @Irfan Baloch @Horus

And during these 12 years we are not going to procure anything else. Typical Indians with Indian Mentality. Let them be happy. By the way just to remind Pakistan has to tackle only India. Whereas India has to tackle both Pakistan and the Giant China. Therefore happy sailing for Indians.
Diversify my dear...Putting all the eggs in one basket is a very big risk. Betting everything on china will crumble your down.
Lets leave the war, tell me if for some reason chinese economy shrinks ( a hypothetical scenario), would they be able to invest in your projects? No. Will they be able to give you loans , No? Will they be able to sustain operations in very low cost, No...So if you have every other project running with chinese, when they go down, you will go down as well....and may be earlier than them as they are wealth generator for their country, where as Pakistan is not doing anything to generate any new opportunity....You are getting more dependent on one country only.

Pakistan and India are far behind industrial development.
Hi dear @war&peace
I was casually going through this thread and ran into your post. I hate to reply something that is strictly not based on topic of this thread. I merely wished to point out couple of things regarding industrial development in india and pakistan vis-a-vis south korea. It is indeed true that SK is ahead of india in terms of industrial research, but casually writing off indian and pakistani industrial research and productivity in the same league as you have perhaps done in your reply is also grossly incorrect. India at present is far ahead of pakistan both in terms of industrial productivity and industrial research. Pakistan doesnt even have an industrial research culture to begin with.
Things are indeed not rosy in india either, but india has a much more structured research system in place that is performing better than pakistan's. In terms of patents filed and papers published in top notch journals, IITs/IISc(as academic and research colleges--close to 500 patents were filed by IITs last year!) and various indian companies are in the same league as various foreign companies and univs. To be honest,I havent seen, pakistani private or govt firms filing patents as aggressively as their indian counterparts do. This is an area where chinese are very aggressive and perhaps leading the pack.

kyun bey Indian submarines retire nahiin hongi kya? Amrit pilaya hai unko? CHE

Pakistan has finalized a deal to acquire eight Chinese-made S20 diesel-electric submarines for the Pakistan Navy, making this class of submarine the most numerous in the navy's Submarine Service Force (SSF) and giving the SSF numerical parity with its opposite number in India.

Under the deal with China, four of the ultra-quiet subs will be made at the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) while the remaining four will be built in China. Four of the subs will be delivered by 2023 with the remainder by 2028.

The eight S20s will be capable of firing anti-ship missiles (ASMs) while submerged, an advantage enjoyed by its three sister submarines in the Khalid-class and two in the Agosta-70 class. The addition of the eight S20s will bring to 13 the number of modern submarines in the SSF.

The Khalid class can fire French-made Exocet missiles while the Agosta 70A subs can unleash United States Harpoon missiles. The S20s will most likely fire Chinese-made ASMs.

The original Chinese version of the S20, the Type 041 Yuan-class, can fire YJ-8 ASMs. The export version of the YJ-8, the C-802, was used by Yemeni Houthi rebels to attack a U.S. Navy destroyer three times this month in the Red Sea. All the C-802s missed their target.

The Type-041's torpedo armament includes Yu-4 (SAET-50) passive homing and Yu-3 (SET-65E) active/passive homing torpedoes.

The Type-041 is the quietest submarine in the People's Liberation Army Navy Submarine Force. The Type-041 is also known as the Type-039A in the PLAN, which operates 28 of these subs.

The 13 submarines in the SSF should be enough to deny the Indian Navy unrestricted operations in the Arabian Sea.

In contrast, the Indian Navy operates 14 submarines: 1 Chakra (Akula II)-class; 9 Sindhughosh (Russian Kilo)-class and 4 Shishumar (German Type 209/1500)-class.

Pakistan will pay up to $5 billion for the eight S20s. The Pakistan Navy is upgrading its undersea warfare capabilities in the face of an equal upgrading being undertaken by India.

They will probably build Ballistic Missile Submarine also.

I said NORTH, yes they have built ballistic missile subs.
