What's new

Pakistan, India have a lot to gain from mutually beneficial trade: Shehbaz Sharif

Regardless, India will have to renounce terrorism and comply.

Says WHO ?

What moral right?

Apparently Jinnah's call for separating humanity on the basis of religion is "moral" as per these guys.

It should be clear to Indians that what pakistanis consider"moral" is what we consider "immoral".

For all practical purposes we are dealing with "Asura vita" and "Asura neeti".

Irrelevant.

Statements extracted under Duress is not considered Relevant in ANY Court of the world. (except pakistani military court)
Same can be said about Indian kangroo courts. You are most welcome to challenge the verdict in ICJ....

Then they will all die natural deaths waiting, or unnatural if they seek to get something which was never there's to begin with.
We don't believe in negotiations over occupied Kashmir you should know that.

No f*cking trade not now or ever.
He speaks for himself and can go over and buy and sell stuff.
Emotions are bound to get high whenever mention of trade pops up, both sides of the fence have reason not to.

Our feelings about it are sadly exclusive from what economic reason would propose. IMHO trade would act as a stabalising positive force, if it were allowed to reach its logical conclusion.

Hating your dastardly neighbour vs considerations over vastly cheaper resources for the betterment of own people.

It's not going to be easy, but we stand to gain more by following India - China model of tussles which delineates economic and strategic fields to a large extent. It's undeniable that we each posses something that can accutely help and address the others problems.

It's a way out of the spiral we find ourselves in, if nothing else.

My two cents.

Its already been challenged and You have LOST the case

Indian position and charge has been vindicated.

No India did not challenge the verdict, India applied for counselor access..You need to read the court's verdict.

Wrong.

ICJ held that Jadhav's execution will remain on hold until Islamabad “effectively reviews and reconsiders” his conviction.

Counsual access is just the FIRST STEP to this process.

wardi boys doing everything to make launch of DHA neelum valley "Mountains may khawabun ki sooocaaiiteee" possible!

In the current situation, Pakistan is more in need of trade with India than India is with Pakistan. And thus you see these overtures, which from Pakistan's point of view are pragmatic. Now whether India will accept this trade offer is another story.

ICJ did not overturn the verdict an excerpt from the ICJ website.

With regard to India’s contention that it was entitled to restitutio in integrum, its request for the Court to annul the decision of the military court and restrain Pakistan from giving effect to the sentence or conviction, and its further request for the Court to direct Pakistan to take steps to annul the decision of the military court, release Mr. Jadhav and facilitate his safe passage to India, the Court found that the submissions made by India could not be upheld. The Court also found, however, that Pakistan was under an obligation to provide, by means of its own choosing, effective review and reconsideration of the conviction and sentence of Mr. Jadhav, so as to ensure that full weight was given to the effect of the violation of the rights set forth in Article 36 of the Vienna Convention.

Exactly what I said.

ICJ fond the Military court ruling Unjust and Against the process of Natural justice and Human rights.

They asked pakistan to conduct a FAIR OPEN Trial to decide the case on its real merit.

India naturally asked for its citizen to be released, which was denied pending a new Trial.

Consistently stupid

Terrorise the local population and then when they rise up you blame all your problems on external factors. I mean its clear to everyone that Pakistan is in the moral right on the Kashmir issue, and the only one actually willing to push through on peace.

Indians can never negotiate on Kashmir because it would a) be political suicide for whichever party does so b) shatter their dream of Indian hegemony (i.e. Akand Bharat) c) destroy their only unifying factor as a country in making Pakistanis their enemy.
You list 3 good reasons , then how's the position 'consistently stupid'?? Do you not believe your reasons ?

May be it is the other way around. Enough trade and Kashmir issue will resolve itself.
Yes.

India challenged Pak verdict and asked for the release of Jadhav but ICJ rejects Indias submission... Why? if he is innocent like you say and have evidence then ICJ just find him innocent and should have ordered his release but that never happened and it never will.

PDF management need to consider banning some of the shangi trolls from this forum. I appreciate the balanced input by some Indian posters who bring value to threads. I miss Popeye, he was a a really decent poster, this new lot of spammers and trolls need to be purged.
