Pakistan fires 120 rockets in latest wave of cross-border shelling in Kunar

According to local authorities in eastern Kunar province, at least 120 more rockets were fired in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan in the latest wave of cross-border shelling.

The officials further added that the rockets landed in Shegal and Dangam districts on Tuesday morning.

Provincial security chief, Gen. Abdul Habib Syed Khel confirmed that a woman was also injured following the shelling.

Gen. Syed Khel further added that Pakistani military has fired over 1000 rockets in eastern Kunar province during the past one week.

Pakistan has intensified cross-border shelling in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan during the recent weeks.

The Pakistani air force also carried out an airstrike in Kunar province earlier this week which sparked furor among the Afghan officials.

According to local government officials, the airstrike left at least five civilians dead and eleven others injured.

1-Afghan army hasn't been able to protect Kabul, let alone Afghanistan, they should be thankful to ISAF for always coming for help.
2-Afghans have been delibrately harboring TTP elements. Mullah Radio operates from Afghanistan and US arrested one key TTP commander while being escorted by Afghan security forces a while ago. When afghan security officials openly vow to hurt Pakistan, there is little prospect for a cooperative action.
