Islamabad airspace to be partially closed from March 19 to 23 for Pakistan Day

Airspace in Islamabad will be closed for a certain number of hours everyday from March 19 to March 23 in preparation for Pakistan Day.

On March 20, 21 and 22, airspace will be closed from 8am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm.

On March 23, it will be closed from 8am to 4pm.


A parade will be held on March 23, Pakistan Day, and dignitaries from all over the world will be attending. Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad will also attend.

A Chinese aerobatics team arrived in Pakistan on Sunday ahead of their Pakistan Day performance.

ISLAMABAD: Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad will visit Pakistan on 21-23 March 2019, said Foreign Office on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the visit is taking place at the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Malaysian Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including several leading businessmen.

During his stay in Islamabad, Prime Minister Tun Mahathir would be the Guest of Honour at the Pakistan Day Parade on 23 March.
