Pakistan conducts successful test launch of Shaheen-III missile

Pakistan on Friday conducted a successful test of the Shaheen-III surface-to-surface ballistic missile, a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.

The missile is capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads to a maximum range of 2,750 kilometres. The test flight was aimed at validating various design and technical parameters of the weapon system.

“The successful flight test with its impact point in the Arabian Sea, validating all the desired parameters, was witnessed by senior officers from Strategic Plans Division, Strategic Forces, Scientists and Engineers of Strategic Organisations,” the statement said.

Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General Mazhar Jamil lauded the efforts of the scientists and engineers on achieving the significant milestone.

“Pakistan desires peaceful co-existence in the region for which nuclear deterrence would further strengthen strategic stability in South Asia,” he said.

Further, he appreciate the dedication and commitment of those involved in making the launch a success, while expressing confidence over Strategic Command and Control System and the Strategic Forces’ operational preparedness to defend against any aggressive design.

Both Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain have congratulated those involved on the successful test of the missile launch.

Rawalpindi - December 11, 2015:
Pakistan today conducted a successful flight test of Shaheen-III surface to surface ballistic missile, with a maximum range of 2750 kilometers. The test flight was aimed at validating various design and technical parameters of the weapon system.

The successful flight test with its impact point in the Arabian Sea, validating all the desired parameters was witnessed by senior officers from Strategic Plans Division, Strategic Forces, Scientists and Engineers of Strategic Organizations.

Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General Mazhar Jamil, congratulated the Scientists and Engineers on achieving a significant milestone in complementing the deterrence capability. He asserted that Pakistan desires peaceful co-existence in the region for which nuclear deterrence would further strengthen strategic stability in South Asia.

He appreciated the technical prowess, dedication and commitment of scientists who contributed whole heartedly to make this launch a success. He expressed his full confidence over the Strategic Command and Control System and the Strategic Forces’ operational preparedness to defend against any aggressive design.

President and Prime Minister of Pakistan have congratulated the Scientists and Engineers on successful conduct of today’s missile test.

Interesting thing is that a Talwar class frigate of Indian Navy is currently deployed near the gulf of Aden close to the missile impact point.

Technically yes but may not plausible to fire such missile from a very far remote location.
 
Kya repeat telecast lagawi hui hai inhounay.Announce only the new weapon system why do they have to announce the launch of perviously tested weapons.They can do that in silence too we already know it works :tsk::tsk:
