Featured Pakistan Cabinet approved New Political Map of Pakistan

Why disputed? Didn't we ave agreement with China or that was for Shkasam valley and Khunzarab?

I doubt this is the official map because today the cabinet meeting discussed the preparation and release of the official map; in anycase the map could not be presented in the same meeting.

open-ended means we can expand as much as we like :D

on serious note, most likely it has to be settled with China like some here said.

Also, obviously the map would have got input & clearance from army & security agencies and other necessary & relevant bodies before being approved.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has unveiled a new “political map of Pakistan”, integrating Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) in the country’s map for the first time in history.

“This is the most historic day in Pakistan’s history,” he said while addressing a news conference after chairing the meeting of federal cabinet, which approved the new map on Tuesday.

PM Imran said for the first time in history, Pakistan has launched a political map which shows the whole Kashmir region including IIOJ&K as part of the country’s territory.

“Today is a historic day we have launched a new political map of Pakistan which is as per the aspirations of the entire nation as well as the people of Kashmir,” he said.

The prime minster said the newly-launched map is backed by all political parties of the country which he said support the principled stance of the people of IIJ&K. “This map also opposes the Indian government’s illegal act of August 5 last year,” he added.

The resolution of Kashmir dispute only lies in the UN Security Council resolutions and Pakistan will continue to make efforts for the people of Kashmir, said the premier, adding that, “We believe Kashmir dispute can only be resolved through political means not military.”

Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi congratulated the entire nation and Prime Minster Imran for taking the “unprecedented step”.

“For the first time in history our government has openly presented its stance before the world,” he said.

Qureshi said the plebiscite should be held in Kashmir region under the watch of UN to determine the future of disputed territory. “We believe that entire Kashmir region is disputed and it needs solution.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday unveiled new political map of the country that truly represents aspirations of the people of the country.

In a televised address, he said the new map supports the principled stance of the people of Pakistan as well as the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir about the Kashmir issue.

The Prime Minister said the new map also negates India's occupational illegal action of August 5 last year.

He said the map, which has been endorsed by the federal cabinet, is fully backed by the entire political leadership of the country.

He said this new official map will henceforth be used in curriculum.

The Prime Minister reiterated that implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions is the only solution to the Kashmir dispute.

He said Pakistan will continue its political and diplomatic efforts for resolution of the longstanding dispute. He hoped that we will achieve this goal one day.

These things are political in nature but important if you want to show your positions and show your resolve to the global community.

The open-ended map on the China side recognizes that it has to be finalized after final negotiations with China, the rest will only be final once the people of Jammu & Kashmir have their say.

Sir Creek and Junagarh are legal positions that we had kept quiet on as a gesture of goodwill, but it did not negate our position and rights on those disputes, now it is rightfully being reinforced again.

Overall a very good move,
people need to recognize our historical rights and arguments, rather than asking one-liner questions, read our history and you will have your answers, I've provided a brief overview.
