Here he personally drove the new 8x8

8x8 already presented at the October 2020 military parade, turret armed with a grenade launcher and anti-tank missiles

from the same new 8x8 base also a version with an unmanned turret armed with a 122 (?) mm artilleries

A russian report with more pics from this series of MIC factory visits by Kim Jong Un:

Article and many images from Kim Jong Un's inspection of the new Oryori (Amnok) class corvette:

What would be the SAM system on this ship, adapted MANPADS or perhaps something more substantial like DPRK's Tor-type system?

very good pictures of the Amnok-class light frigate, including the stages of missile launches and apparently, these are Khwasal-1 or Khwasal-2 cruise missiles, and not the North Korean version of the Kh-35, as previously assumed.

It can be noted that at least 2 canisters are positioned in the place where the launch was carried out,

observing the characteristics of the superstructure it is possible to hypothesize the presence on board of at least 4 cruise missiles.

apparently the news follow one another. or at least an image of a naval unit previously seen only from satellite appears, from the photo it is noted that this ship should have an ASW mission. Smaller ship than the Amnok class, on the bow you can see an RBU-6000, then 2x 14,5mm (gatling type), 1x6 MANPAS, then what look like chaff/flare rocket launchers, and finally you can see what should be a 30 mm gatling type . If it is an ASW vessel, it is possible that there are also torpedo tubes for ASW weapons

Returning to the Amnok class light frigate, I assume that the hatch indicated with the white arrow is opened during the launch of the 2 missiles that depart from the opposite side, this to let the booster flame escape outside the ship during launch.

the same hatch is present on the other side.

noting the size and location of these hatches and the size of the cruise missile canisters, I estimate there are 4 cruise missiles on board.

I personally believe that the basic support structure where this obsolete artillery is installed on the Amnok class frigate (661) has already been built to house the 76/62 Oto Melara clone, perhaps the one with a stealth dome, as soon as it is available.
Here is a comparison with that of the Iranian frigate Sahand 74

100mm cannon has far heavier recoil since not only size as also not being automatic cannon.

So maybe they are developing 100mm autocannon.

the higher caliber North Korean naval artillery is centered around the 85mm and 100mm, certainly the 76mm with western ammunition would be an extreme change.
For this reason, some hypotheses have appeared in the past
1) The 76/62 clone adapted to the Russian-Chinese ammunition used by the 76.2 mm AK-176 / PJ26 which would thus lead to a standardization and if necessary (conflict) to receive the ammunition from friendly countries
But in any case, if you don't want to buy ammunition from friendly countries, you need to create an internal production line, as also if you use western ammunition for the 76mm (in this case it will not possibly be able to receive any from neighboring friendly countries).

2) Another hypothesis that has been expressed in the recent past is that the clone of the Oto Melara Compact, the caliber of the weapon has been increased to 85 mm, capable of using the standard ammunition currently in use on weapons of the same caliber used in the DPRK for both direct fire and air defense purposes (85mm 90K / 85mm 52-K)

note the similar dimensions of the shell case
85mm.png

Instead the 100mm uses much larger ammunition and it would seem difficult to adapt the loading system of the Compact for that ammunition, furthermore it would be necessary to strengthen each component to resist the increased recoil force during firing and at high rate of fire, this brings me to exclude that the Compact clone can be brought to 100mm.

Lately Kim Jong Un has delighted us with numerous news relating to weapon systems, perhaps he himself could soon reveal the characteristics of that naval cannon similar to the Compact with which he had himself photographed.

In the recent Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict, the Azeris used the old AN-2s as Kamikaze drones, it seems that the idea has also been adopted by the North Koreans, but using the obsolete combat aircraft such as the Mig-15/F-2, Mig -17/F-5, Mig-19/F-6 certainly an option to give a second chance to these obsolete aircraft.
"The North is trying to transform Soviet fighter aircraft into kamikaze drones armed with precision-guided munitions," Choe Su-ryong, a former agent of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), told The Korea Times on Monday, citing an informant based in North Korea.

More and more news from North Korea
Kim Jong Un inspects the Pukjung Machine Complex
https://kcnawatch.org/newstream/169...-machine-complex-and-major-munitions-factory/
September 3, 2023
Kim Jong Un shows himself in front of 2 types of engine, one diesel and one gas turbine.
they write:
Noting that the complex plays an important role that no one else can replace in developing the country's shipbuilding industry and strengthening the DPRK's naval forces, Kim Jong Un proposed a revolutionary policy to usher in a new era of shipbuilding industry naval. the complex...

Therefore, one would think that those two engines are intended for naval units for the North Korean navy, but the more important question is whether they are made directly in the Pukjung Machine Complex or somehow imported.
I ask the experts if from these partial photos it is possible to identify the model of the engines and possibly their origin if they are not produced in North Korea.

Whoa, what's this? DPRK ballisitic missile sub unveiled. I hate to give traffic to the lot at NK News, but don't have a better source for now, will update when so.
PS: Another link found. So what is it called?
PPS: Apparently it could be called Kim Kun Ok after a DPRK hero

It has been named “Hero Kim Gun-ok” (김군옥영웅) and given the hull number 841.
