No Ctg.- Kunming Connection: Burma Tells

I think the Rohingya's have long sought our help for insurgency, and we never fully provided that support, although there may have been some halfhearted effort. With RAWamy League in power, I am sure India will order them not to get involved, as India does not want to jeopardize its sea-route to NE states via Sittwe port.

If China can support Kachin insurgency and Thai's can support Karen's, I think for Bangladesh to support a Rohingya insurgency would not be very difficult or improbable.

But the biggest obstacle of course will be our own leadership. Lack of clear thinking, general confusion and incompetence is an epidemic, in most parts of the world, and more so for Bangladesh.

1.A study of Burmese national groups' struggle against the ruling Burmans is incomplete without the relations these have enjoyed with Indian Govt. Nehru was close to Gen Aung San. After the Gen was assassinated Madam Aung San was appointed Burma's ambassador in Delhi - and she stayed in this post for a long period. It is in Delhi where Suu Kyi grew up. Burma's Coco Island, where the Chinese have built a naval base for the Burmese overlooking Fortress Andaman, was personally gifted to Gen Aung San by Nehru. India's opposition leaders often recall this to criticize Congress.

2. When Suu Kyi was arrested, India was unhappy and that had put strains in Indo-Burma relations under the Junta. Not only that but several exiled groups took refuge in India setting up camps along the border. The Chins had established one on BD-Burma-India tri-junction. Interestingly some of these groups established open offices in New Delhi. Even Def Minister G Fernandez's residence was used by one group. George, claiming to be a democrat standing up for people's rights, even had issued orders to all not to harass NUPA, a Rakhine group which had maintained camps in BD too. RAW officers in Bangkok and on Thai-Burma border were most active. In one incident a Rohingya leaders visiting other groups in Bangkok was tailed into BD and exposed to the then BAL administration who had made several arrests at that time.

3. The infamous Op Leech (available in Google) is an example of how deceitful and cruel Indian Intel can be. This operation saw the cold blooded murder by Indian Intel troops of Kyang Raja, a real hero of Arakan, a person who was equally popular with both the Rohingyas as well as the Rakhines.

Like india did in Pilkhana, our hasina allowed and they did it ;) .

AL and SHW themselves are good enough to conspire a hundred Pilkhana. SHW did not certainly need India to help her out for such a small operation like killing unarmed military Officers. But, she wanted it at a later time had she been able to initiate a war between BDR and military. It would have created a good opportunity for her to call her Indian masters to send troops to extinguish that fire. It could have ended democracy, caused disbanding of military and BDR as well as the cease of independence.
