"Never Forget National Humiliation" 74th anniversary of Nanjing Massacre

China really can't do anything to Current Japan today. simply would be similar to blaming Current Germans for what the Nazi's did it's best to move on.

it's not to blame or eliminate japan from this peaceful earth, jap is a nut now. it's to remind chinese people that we need to develop this country, to defend and choose to fight against all odds, like we did in WWII even at cost of big sacrifice.

i don't think people out of Japan/China/Korea know japanese very well, they are usually deceived by japanese. if conditions permit, Japanese will repeat the bad history.

p.s You know what, it's Korea who hates japnese most in this world, it's because they didn't choose to fight evil japanese in WWII.

No it wouldn't. Germans admitted to the crime and apologized. Thus, the world can move on.
but japanese is another story entirely

From some Westerners experience in Japan
"youre right, they have turned it around so that they are the victims by virtue of the A-bombs, which of course marked the end of the war, they have effectively made that causal of their victimhood.

they also teach that the war itself was 'forced" on Japan.

Things like Nanking get about two lines in Japanese school textbooks , China usually summarised as

'there were a few unfortunate incidents"..

Nanking in particular is usually deflected as "exaggerated"

but , you know, thats what the Germans living near the camps said when hearing the descriptions from the occupying US and British of what was out there, until they were literally dragged out there and made to look.

I guess the Japanese public were never dragged to the scenes of their armies excesses, and made to look.

Ive seen their little ceremonies in full WW2 uniform and rising Sun battle flags to Yasukuni,of course this is right-wing militarist elements in Japan, who are a very tiny number of people, but what surprised me is their ******** nerve, and that theyre allowed to do it.
For all that, it is fascinating to watch, albeit a little weird.
Theyre actually doing the funny little WW2 Japanese soldiers march."

Nanking Massacre New Unseen Pictures (Warning Graphic) - YouTube

New pictures from the Nanking massacre.

The Nanking Massacre or Nanjing Massacre, also known as the Rape of Nanking, was a mass murder, genocide and war rape that occurred during the six-week period following the Japanese capture of the city of Nanjing (Nanking), the former capital of the Republic of China, on December 13, 1937 during the Second Sino-Japanese War. During this period hundreds of thousands of Chinese civilians and disarmed soldiers were murdered and 30,0000 men, women and children were raped and tortured by soldiers of the Imperial Japanese Army.

I do agree there are certain muslim women who have no problem wearing burqas, just like there are muslim women who do not mind to share a husband with other women.

Just like when China CCP began to ban binding feet, there are many women who still thought bounded feet were beautiful.

Overall, those are just such trashy old tradition that should be thrown into the history trash bins.

If you do not agree, how about you switch with your women family members??? How about you wear burqa day in and day out and wear it at the beach, let your wife wear normal clothes regularly and bikinis at the beach.

What gives men such powers to rule over women and tell them to wear burqa or suffer punishments???

It has nothing to do with the west though.

I'm sorry but this is an absurd argument.
Foot binding was mutilation.
Burqa is simply a dress.

And guess who liberated the women from the food binding?
WOMEN THEMSELVES.
Not you or me.
Women are song enough to free themselves.
You telling them what they should do is purely misogynistic.

And you keep talking about outdated tradition, so I guess freedom must be outdated too since that's all these woman want.
Freedom to wear what they want and do what they want, without you telling them otherwise.

If i remember correctly you are the same mentally challenged islamophobe who was discredited awhile back, this forum is not for a mentally challenge, closed minded, fabric hating idiot like you.

Shhhhzzz, Chinese starting to bite at Chinese, what a shame!

Just like how today people in Taiwan and Hong Kong love Japanese more than they love the mainlands, so please be wise and pack your hatred for your enemies but not your own people! :disagree:

Don't know about that. But I've heard that Hong Kong people hated people from mainland China

The hatred from Hongkongers to Chinese mainlands is just a pure human being, they have that attitude after a bunch of cheap fools from mainland attempt to fleet into Hong Kong to cheat the locals people over there, plus there are many jerks from Hong Kong go back to mainland and dating young girl, that make those outdated Hong Kong homwife getting angry and having such a negative view toward China mainlands.

Beside than that people in Hong Kong is having the feeling against the mainlands because of their culture and language ,Cantonese, they concern one day they will be assimilated by the Chinese mainlands and Taiwanese!

That's so, despite nothing to hate each other since they are the same people!

That is right, we Hong Kongers are the same people as mainlanders. We are both Chinese people, that is what is important.

I am not worried about losing Cantonese. All Chinese dialects are the same Chinese language, and it's not difficult to learn more than one dialect. Shanghainese can speak their own dialect and Mandarin too... we can do the same.

I prefer the sound of Mandarin anyway.

When people are being stupid you have to point it out, check and balances are needed for a better forum, when someone who is such a fervent ideologue and call for the mass destruction of the Japs, then in turn produce their own ideology and complain about the burqa, it's called hypocrisy or stupidity on a mass scale, and needs to be corrected.

Through many of us have not moved on I mixed on this for one We cannot take our anger on Japan today because they were nuked and no point in blaming the current generation, nature today seems to be taking it's toll on Japan with the many Tsunamis and Earthquakes who knows how long the Island will last until it's destroyed by Nature.

Never Forget, and a salute to our hero's who payed in blood to drive the invaders out.

You guys had no capability to drive the Japanese out; it was the Americans who liberated China. The Guandong army and the Imperial Japanese Navy occupied all active ports and oil fields in China. The KMT was surviving on supplies from British India, through the Himalayas.

If it weren't for the two consecutive nukes and the subsequent unconditional surrender of Japan to America, the Japanese would have enslaved China and Taiwan indefinitely, not to mention the casualties.

Don't get carried away. If it weren't for the US, Taiwan would not even be under ROC's rule, and you would be a second class citizen of the Empire of Japan like the Koreans and Taiwanese were after the Treaty of Shimonoseki.

and if japan did take over entire china, they would of also taken the entire southeast asia too into their empire. with that being said, pearl harbor would have only been the tip of the ice berg, because now with all the new resources at hand japan would build an even more bigger and powerful war machine and take the invasion to the american mainland. we would then see the 'treaty of america', which would also include canada, no doubt about it.

don't get carried away. if it weren't for china holding down the bulk of the japanese forces and draining most of their resources, the european americans and european canadians would be slaves of the japanese empire, and of course the europeans in europe would be slaves to the nazi's.

Those japs even today do not acknowledge publicly what they have done to China and other south east asian countries. Those animals call that brutal invasion as "entering".

Not only China does not forgive those fxxking japs, but also a lot of former allied force soldiers (from U.S., U.K., Holland and etc), captured and tortured by those japs, do not forgive them.

How many countries would forgive Germany if Germany today still does not acknowledge its past criminal acts and set up laws against any people trying to beautifying that part of history???

Those japs who raped and pillaged are long gone. The Japs have been attacked with Incendiary bombs burnt Tokyo and 2 atomic bombs are dropped, yet they moved on and in less than 40 years of losing became the second largest economy of the world. Had they clinged to Past and are more interested in extracting revenge for Hiroshima and Nagasaki... the world would have been different.

Paying homage to the victims is different from Clinging to the past and extracting revenge.
