I do not think the banks will be allowed to make these accounts dormant. It is absurd to paint 80% of Indians as unethical thieves. Most people are honest by nature. In any case it will open up avenues for direct cash transfers for education, basic food security etc.

No to mention the insurance it provides to the poor, though I am not sure how many will actually end up claiming it and the companies clearing the insurance claims.

U shud atleast understand now that Modi came to 1st undo the spineless attitude of UPA and then move forward with his Achhe Din agenda. Do u even know that this Direct Cash transfer was the pet project of UPA since so many years. What made it not implemented? Pressure from Financial Sector. Same doesnt work with those who have spine. Thats why Modi is a must for Indian growth. Its high tym our establishment take stern actions so that high growth and moving forward becomes an easy task unlike a daunting task under UPA.

Exactly. I always believe that UPA has been a great planner. It was high tym we got an implementer.

In India there are a lot of schemes for poor, some introduced by UPA with very good intentions. But only a fraction of that reaches the needy, rest is gobbled up by corruption by middle men and bureaucrats. Having a bank account enables option for direction cash transfers.

When u announce mega projects like bullet train, they cry as to why waste money on such projects, why not give them to the poor when India is in so much poverty. When u give money to poor(not charity but rightful), then they say how can the nation ward off its debt. Well idiots, this is why rail fare hike,etc was announced when asshole monkeys like u shouted in the poor's name. Modi is not an ideal man, but he is definitely the right man to ward off such jokers and their ideology and give proper government to us.
