Mughal’s Rajput policy vs Afghan policy

He is actually right. Throughout the history of South Asia modern Pakistan and particularly the Punjab was the
weakest part of South Asia as it was mostly under foreign rule. During ancient period parts of Afghanistan
and Pakistan was conquered by the Persian Achaemid Dynasty but the Persians never entered modern India.
The Greeks under Alexander also conquered modern Pakistan and Afghanistan but they did not enter India
because they feared the might of the Nanda Dynasty from Eastern India. The successors of Alexander
were defeated by Chandragupta of eastern India who liberated Pakistan from Greek rule. After that the Scythian invaders conquered Central Asia and invaded Pakistan and northwestern India. In India the Scythian invaders were at
first defeated by the south Indian Satavahana Dynasty which stopped the Scythian expansion and the Scythian
kingdom was later destroyed by the Gupta Empire which also liberated parts of Pakistan from Scythian rule.
In the 8th century the Arab invaders easily conquered modern Pakistan and tried to expand into India.
However the Arabs failed to conquer India because the Arabs were defeated by the south Indian Emperor
Vikramaditya II of the Chalukya Dynasty and Nagabhata of the Pratihara Dynasty.
The Sikh Dynasty was indeed the only indigenous Dynasty that ruled over the Punjab.
@good_boy
You just got served!:woot:

The Mughals like the British knew how to divide their enemy and use them to their advantage. The Mughals used Rajputs in NW frontier instead of Pathans. Similarly when fighting the Rajputs in India the Mughals used Pathan warriors led by Rajput generals. This policy worked quite well for the Mughals until Aurangzeb's reign. He carried out his war against the Pathans in the NW frontier while also antagonizing the Hindu Rajputs by implementing strict Sharya Law(including the much hated Jaziya). He alienated both of these martial communities whose aggressive fighters he could have fully utilized against the equally tough Maratha guerrillas.

I'm Tomar Rajput, our clan has no history of giving away our daughters. Instead we defeated Lodhi Pathans at Gwalior Fort. LOL

Saffronsoldier you claim all rajput history but when it comes to giving away daughters you become Tomar ;)

Didnt Abdali disimate Marathas in Panipat? They were only good against local army of Mughals.

Didnt Abdali disimate Marathas in Panipat? They were only good against local army of Mughals.

But Abdali was no ordinary leader. To his credit he was probably the best Asiatic general of his time after Nadir Shah. Marathas were also very strong at the time, so defeating the Marathas as Abdali did was no easy task. The Afghans had almost lost that battle, until Abdali surprised them with his reserve force which defeated the stunned Marathas.

There were several causes for maratha defeat at panipat -
1]numerical inferiority
2]technological inferiority[particularly in artillery-no answer to thousands of camel mounted swivel guns or the modern flintlock muskets of the afghan cavalry]
3]lack of unity of command[each sardar doing his own thing and some even abandoned the army midway through battle.ibrahim gardi's success with his musketeers was not exploited by the cavalry under the sardars ]Veteran Abdali was a superior tactician than inexperienced bhau and held his subordinates in firmer grip.
4]poor logistics[burdened themselves with thousands of refugees, pilgrims creating starvation]
5]Insatiable maratha greed of the sardars who had raided north india dry- this created animosity with all northern indian powers-jats,sikhs,nawab of oudh and rajputs. Thus when they needed allies most,no one came to their aid.Nawab of oudh joined abdali.Incidentally a decade earlier themughals themselves had asked for aid of marathas against abdali's devastating raids. But by now all goodwill was exhausted due to equally demanding maratha financial rapacity.
6]Maratha arrogance and overconfidence-When maratha army under sadashivbhau was fighting at panipat, the peshwa had recalled the other half of the maratha army under raghunathrao back to maharashtra. Therefore marathas failed to mobilize their full available strength and were themselves responsible for the numerical inferiority they had to contend with.
7]Poorer breed of horses. In a cavalry battle quality of horses are very important, the smaller maratha ponies, many half starved were at a disadvantage against abdali's superb central asian and turkemenstani mounts.
8]In the open north indian plains, maratha hit and run guerilla tactics failed to demoralize the afghans before the battle.

Akbar was soft on Rajputs cause he liked "RAJPUT CHICKS ". That is why he married JODHA BAI.

Jodha Bai is a mythical figure,he married her but she was from Jaipur,it never mattered anyway.

The real Rajput de Put were from Mewar,

They also kicked some serious rajput ***

obviously, the bully wins first but where r the afghans now?

Nothing to do with bullies , those were different time which had different rules.
Putting that aside power in the world continues to shift , it does not remain static or concentrated as we see now from the rise of Asian powers again. Similarly Afghanistan is going through it's tough period but that does not mean it will stay like that forever. All countries/regions/power go through it , nothing new

Afghanistan has been going through this 'tough' period even before the creation of Pakistan & then later their interference in Pakistan tremendously back-fired leading to the utter ruin of Afghans & Afghanistan !

We got the best of the Pukhtoons whereas the Afghans are stuck with a jealous bunch of ingrates who's highest ambition for the day is thinking up ways to carve out their Loy Afghanistan from nearly 2/3rds of Pakistan !

Actually Afghanistan wasn't doing so bad before 79 , economically anyways . But yeah Afghanistan is paying for its mistakes and paying dearly but so are we?

I'm not too sure that they were doing mighty good before '79 either; their Helmand Valley plans didn't perform & their incessant support for Baluch Separatists & aggressive posturing on the Durand Line prompted the Bhutto Government to restrict Afghan access to Pakistani Ports !

We are paying for our short-sightedness; I just hope there is some way to mine & fence the Durand Line, round up all the Afghans in Pakistan & send them back to Afghanistan & have nothing but strictly controlled movement between Pakistan & Afghanistan unless we have strong assurances that they won't start their Loy Afghanistan BS or start supporting Baluch Separatists as they've done in the past even before Mullah Omar was ever heard of !

Saffronsoldier, mughal blood runs in your vein. And Tomar are not rare breed of rajputs, now days every rajput on internet claim that their clan didnt gave away daughters. But at the same time claim combined rajput history. And punjabis didnt gave away their daughters to make deal with invaders so they can have some control ;) Only warriors like rajputs had this brillant idea, first of its kind.

Proof Poonjabi Kunjar? It's well nown that Poonjabis are a kunjar race. Even the Pathans on this thread are to embarished to stand up for you. It's hillarious. What does a Punjabi village boy know about Tomars? In Indian statistics only 70,000 people are recorded as Tomars and they are only found on Rajasthan and MP border region and parts of Himachal Pradesh. Foreign rape victim runs in your veins. Such a fucktard.
