India should be a country you try to get away from. Here I the US, we have so. many Indians, especially in the h1b visa line, that we had to create a priority date for Indians only because so many Indians trying to come here.

On topic, Maldives will be irrelevant as Bangladesh soon as the Ocean will reclaim both these nations and Maldives is on a fast track, it depends on India for everything from Onions to milk, they can't grow anything on the small piece of land they have and their entire Country depends on Tourism for income.They have no natural resources to sell.Already many of their islands are under Ocean.
It is just a matter of Time they come knocking on India's door for asylum once their islands submerge.
Let's see if they get asylum in China,Pakistan or Bangladesh.
Besides Maldives,Mauritius and other small island nations have agreements with India for their Defence, It is the Indian army which protects them from bullying by other bigger nations.

They didnt want to stay with us and fought with us, so we gave them their piece of land in partition and we are done with it, why should we bother what they do to themselves in their nation?
