Tata 5252c 12x12 carrier

Tata Motors Ltd has developed an indigenous high mobility, all-terrain and all-wheel
drive, Tata LPTA 5252-12 X12 vehicle, specifically for missile launcher cum carrier
applications like integration of Prahar, BrahMos and Nirbhay Missiles, in close
coordination with R&DE – DRDO.

The vehicle is equipped with a state of the art Electronic Controlled heavy duty engine
and automatic transmission, has high mobility features like Anti-Locking Braking System
(ABS), Central Tyre Inflation System (CTIS), Auxiliary Gear box with High and low speed
mode and differential locks system. The vehicle is operable normally in 12x8 mode and
can be driven in 12x10 and 12x12 modes as per terrain requirements.

India's Hero MotoCorp Plans to Enter U.S. Market

NEW DELHI— Hero MotoCorp Ltd. said it plans to start selling its motorcycles in the U.S. in 2016, underscoring the growing global ambitions of India's largest producer of two-wheelers.

"The products have to go through the testing process [in the U.S.]. Sales will most likely happen in the summer months of calendar [year] 2016," said Pawan Munjal, managing director and chief executive of Hero.

Major share of cars sold by Ford Australia to be made in India

New Delhi: Ford Motor Co.’s Indian unit may supply a chunk of the cars it sells in Australia after the US car maker said it will shut its manufacturing operations in the world’s sixth largest nation by 2016. “Australia will get supply from a lot of countries. India will play a major role there. The major markets where India would be exporting, Australia is one of them,” Dave Schoch, Ford group vice-president and president of Asia-Pacific, said in an interview on Wednesday. “We have started that with EcoSport. The plan is to cease manufacturing operations in Australia by the end of 2016. In the meantime, we are starting to tap into our global product portfolio, and from different regions, like EcoSport and build up our portfolio in Australia.” The move is expected to boost Ford’s production activities in India and will help it utilize the new capacity being created at its plant in Gujarat.

With the addition of a new manufacturing facility and an engine plant in Sanand to complement its production in Chennai, Ford India will have an annual production capacity of 440,000 vehicles and 610,000 engines.
Ford expects that by 2020, demand for small vehicles will account for more than 60% of the automobile market globally, and Asia-Pacific and Africa for about half the global industry volume. In India alone, Ford expects industry demand for B-segment vehicles, or small cars, to double, and demand for sport utility and multi-utility vehicles to triple between 2012 and 2017.
