Every time India comes with some new weapon , Pakistan always introduces a counter .
Hope this joy of Indians will not lost long like Nuclear Blast, Cold start and AWACS etc

 What a bluff!!! Most of your weapons are from China which are of lowest quality. There is not a single weapon you have that threatens India.

Now recalculate for a Mach 4 + 200km+ range CM400AKG or YJ-12.

:)
CM400AKG is hypersonic in only terminal while the same is true for Barak-8 also. But we believe speed is not the only factor. Agility, pulling high Gs that's what we are trying to factor in while preparing our missile. Added advantage for BARAK is that it is supersonic in all stage after level flight excluding terminal flight. And anyways it will focus on head on engagement more of the time compared to tail chase owing to its medium range while land based BARAK is being tested with booster rocket so it will have more range thus good for tail chase as well. Hope that clarifies your query.

About five-to-seven kilometres short of the target, a seeker on the interceptor’s nose switched on, locking it onto the target. To accelerate the interceptor, which was by now merely coasting, the dual-pulse motor fired for a second time. This increased the interceptor’s velocity up to Mach 5-7, enabling it to manoeuvre sharply in tandem with the target’s evasive zigzags.

@Donatello so at the terminal stage 7 km from the target the Barak-8 is much faster than CM-400AKG.

Really? More like you conduct another Nasr "test".
NASR is not just a missile but a complete package and this package includes tactical nuclear warheads also which made US of A and india start worrying
You really think Indians are building Agni missiles, supersonic and hypersonic missiles because of Pakistan?
There is nothing to counter.

Its better for childern to keep quiet while elders are talking

 What a bluff!!! Most of your weapons are from China which are of lowest quality. There is not a single weapon you have that threatens India.

Be its an india KATTA, chinese clone of TT pistol or GLock all are lethal. The most important thing is how you are using resources.

This is what my source told me about Israel and how India is planning its own things similarly

Israel will in fact be integrating five layers of missile defense.
1. Arrow3/SM3 (Exo-Atmosphere)
2. PAC3/Barak 8 (Endo-Atmosphere)
3. Stunner David Sling (70km to 200km)
4. Tamir (Iron Dome)
5. CIWS (Phalanx or Laser based)

Barak 8 has the advantage of being a 2 stage missile which PAC3 is not with obvious gain in range and agility. Though Barak 8 speed is not advertised however IAI has consistently claimed Barak 8 as superior to PAC3, which has a speed of Mach 5.12
source:Patriot PAC-3

These are confirmed figures of agility of various missile systems available from their respective OEMs to GOI for comparative evaluation and goal setting for Barak8 project

Aster 15 : 64g
S-400 9M96E : 40g
VL-Mica : 50g
Barak 8 : 80g (owing to second stage kicking off in terminal phase having thrusters similar to Aster and THAAD)

High G ability is required for Hit to Kill capability or closest proximity detonation successfully. High G even at a relatively lower speed can compensate for low G maneuver by a very high speed incomong hostile missile to achieve intercept success.

So the above article is correct in assuming speed in excess of mach 5.12 probably reaching mach 7.

This would imply that incoming hostile interception would be much quicker then what I have assumed in my analysis. Perhaps an average speed would be similar to mach 3-3.25 (logically mach 2 for almost 75% flight time and mach 6+ for 25% flight time)
That reduces the reaction time for hostile.. Excellent concept to realization by IAI and DRDO.

Done that sir in the ss.. Detection at 40km at mach 4 with 15 seconds used for detection authorisation to fire and launch leaves approximately 5 seconds of flight time for barak8 to intercept about3.4 km from the ship.
From the time of detection its an overall window of detection launch and intercept of 20 seconds total.
That is precisely why I said the ability of our AESA radar to detect sea skimming must be increased from present 40km in Kolkata class.

In this page I had posted the reworked numbers with detection at 60km for sea skimming missiles. At mach 4 detection at 60km , launch authorisation and launch in 15 seconds leave the barak8 to travel for 14 seconds and engage at around 20km from the ship with overall time from detection to interception at 29 seconds.
This is enough for a second launch initiated for another attempt to intercept albeit it will be far far closer to the ship post first attempt failure.
A better way could be increasing barak8 speed upwards of Mach2 to more of Mach3/4 which gives additional time frame of multiple attempts to intercept.

Interestingly, both these missiles carrying platforms will be detected even with LO abilities much earlier implying the higher probability of engagement factor minimising the decision making to launch time frame to perhaps full automation. This could turn out to be the ideal choice between annihilation by the incoming Missile to successful interception

Again this is my analysis. The real battle scenario may be far more complex and will have multiple variables including other detection means and counters which can effectively change the course of all this..
CM400AKG has mach 4(apparently) at its terminal stages!! So missile when launched has far lesser speed and gives the more time for interception?!

Correct sir, but i had calculated on the basis of complete flight path at Mach 4 which gives decision makers 15 secs for Barak8 launch and 14 seconds for interception and engage at 20 km approx from the ship. I am assuming clearly that when Cm400 was detected at 60km, its already at Mach 4.

You are correct that during the flightpath of CM400 first stage will be lower speed compared to second stage terminal speed of mach 4. The issue in hand is even with higher mast of INS Kolkata, the sea skimming missiles are detected at best around 40-60km. At 40 km, the reaction time post launch is just 5 secs implying 15+5=20 seconds from detection to launch to interception at around 3.4km from the ship. As explained above at 60 km detection with speed of Cm400 at mach 4, the reaction time overall increases to 29 secs from 20 seconds and interception is done around 20km from the ship from 3.4km earlier case. This does provide us with a window of second launch commencing 5 secs after 1 launch of barak8 for a seond trial of interception if the first fails by any chance.

Interestingly the aerial assets with such missiles (CM400AKG/YJ12) even if they are flying very low altitude and with Low Observability type birds, the detection range of such birds will be minimum of 150 km and engagement thereafter for hostile interception cum shoot down. This also implies the system may have automated trigger response for detection of sea skimming missiles assumed to be launched before the hostile aerial interception of the jets. This may decrease the response time assumed to be 15 secs from detection to authorization to shoot down. Cutting it down by 50% at 7 sec first launch and say 12 sec second launch of barak 8 gives a much better successful interception probability by an automated system. Also the interception would be further away from the ship.

If the CM400AKG is launched from say 300km (outside range of MFSTAR 2248 detection) away assuming flight time of 75% at Mach 2.5 and 25% of Mach 4 then at 60km it will be sureshot at Mach 4 . If launched at 250 km, it will reach Mach 4 speed around 45km from the ship. Again both these cases gives sufficient time for successful interception.

Very nice system indeed........
Can it defend against anti ship ballistic missile???

With a maneuverability tolerance of upto 80G. It can defend against anything today with ease.
