I am angry because they spend more money lavishly on its maintenance,interior and design...meanwhile our universities are in deplorable condition...

You do know people are allowed to visit these building and I think they also offer tours inside, there is nothing wrong with extravagant buildings, I wish there are more extravagant buildings in Pakistan. Go to any Cantt in Pakistan you will see many upscale homes, nobody is complaining about those homes right? So don't complain if the head of your country is living in a upscale home for the duration of his office.

The official residences are much much opulent in the subcontinent.

In US the largets economy in the world, the govenors' do not live like Kings on official money.

Pakistan is a poor country. When the heads of state start living like this, who would stop the bureaucracy?

And they do live of the national treasury which is filled up not only by tax payers, but also others.
