looking at the photo of the 200 one good flaw izmash has taken out of all versions from 47 to 103/105 is positioning of front and rear sights.they are too close to each other ,any mistake in configuration costs a lot in accuracy-this is one of the reasons AK didnt win the accuracy acclaim.

with the 200 i see izmash has improved upon it

Correct but that isn't an AKS74U either.Has the Galil's receiver, sights, charging handle and stock but a really weird compensator.Wonder where Tshering 22 actually got this pic from.I've been trying to scrounge the forum for hours from where the image is hotlinked trying to know which gun is this with no success.

Although old news I will add my 2 cents: the IA operates the INSAS rifle as its standard issue assault rifle, that isn't about to chance until the F-INSAS mulitcalbre assault rifle comes into service (whenever that may be). However the IA does operate the AK in CI ops in J&K and NE where the AK packs a "bigger punch" so this development may be used to replace the old 47 with the AK-103s. Also many police/paramilitaries are now using the AK series including the DP and MP along with the IN MARCOs who have been spotted with the AK-103 in the past, but since adapting the Tavor-21 as their standard assault rifle recently I am unsure whether they still use it.

Special Forces use more than just one type of Assault Rifle or any other small arm. That's why you see most special forces organisations with a plethora of small arms albeit in small quantities. For example your SAS use Colt Canada C8's as their standard carbine, but there are a few G36K and G36C's also present with them which are used by the CRW Teams for CT.
Indian Army SF also has a plethora of assault rifles.Tavor, M4, Vz.58's, Various AK's (MPi, Mod 90, AKMS).For different purposes they use different rifles.Usually each SF organisation has one jack of all trades Carbine/Assault Rifles(for most M4 being the one in our case the Tavor) and other smaller numbers of specialised assault rifles.Same can be said for the Sniper Rifles and Pistols as well.

Ak-103's along with AK-104's would be a good choice to replace to all the various AK's i. our paramilitary/police forces.

the main reason of going 2wards AK-103 from INSAS is the reliability.During the Kargil conflict the rifle encountered some reliability problems in the very cold climate in which that conflict took place. Due to the cold weather, the rifle would jam occasionally and the polymer magazines would crack. There were also cases where the rifle would fire on full automatic, while in three-round burst fire mode.As the indian army is phasing out da unlicensed revrsed engineered copy of the famous Belgian FN FAL known as 1A SLR it needs a new service rifle.so whilst the INSAS is being improved they some punch rifle.in my point of view, the indian r just wasting money.try 2 improve ur indeginious INSAS instead of wstin money on others.insas can develop into a mature rifle and can prove it self like JF-17 has to.

You stole my heart mate :smitten:
