deeply felt condolence for those martyred ...

one blast was caused by explosive laden motorbike and the other with a parceled bomb at least that is what is the news so far....

no news for any suicidal activity .. most probably timed or remote control devices were used..

these explosions are on a rise... may Allah save us from their next attack we need deep prayers from the core of our hearts by all of us

British Pakis are messed in the head

Is it any wonder why they are the most hated group in England

I think a lot of British Pakistani's suffer from an identity crisis - don't fit in with their local community and are not accepted by pakistanis.

A lot of them end up getting brainwashed by extremists who give them a false sense of identity.

Its war
1. The government should announce emergency
2. All projects be closed and their finance should be provided to fight terror.
3.All the law enforcement agency should be on the road.
4.People should avoid crowded places.

Cut all the traffic from tribal area and seal Peshawar.

Its War and the nation has to unite to fight the extremist and one advice for the ultra modern please stop projecting your dupatta less culture though the media, its also making common people to go towards the extremists. :coffee:

Alhamdullilah my Brother's condition is out of danger. He suffered from burns, wounds because of shattered glass and an ankle fracture. Also went unconscious because of all the smoke and poisonous gases in the air because of the blasts. Just came back from the hospital and now heading back in a while.

I thank everyone for their well wishes. Spoke to TaimiKhan when I was on my way to the hospital. I also went to the ground-zero and I can't find the right words to explain the situation over there. Standing there, it felt like hell. Which is where all these bastards who are carrying out these attacks deserve to go and suffer for eternity.

God bless the victims and I pray that everyone injured in this attack recover soon.

God Bless Pakistan.

Two bomb blasts have ripped through a busy market in the centre of Pakistan's second largest city, Lahore, killing at least 30 people, police and medics say.

The attack, which injured some 100 people, sparked a huge blaze at the city's Moon Market at 2045 local time.

The toll may rise further as fire-fighters battle to control the blaze.

The blasts came just hours after a suicide bomber on a rickshaw killed at least 10 people in Peshawar when he blew himself up near the courthouse.

In Lahore, emergency vehicles and police officers are at the scene of the blast, where television pictures showed smoke rising and cars burning.

Market blaze

One official said the blasts happened in quick succession and that dozens were injured when the blast struck the market, crammed with shoppers and traders.

"The fire engulfed a building and shops. There were two blasts with an interval of about 30 seconds," senior city police official Shafiq Ahmad told French news agency AFP.

"One was in front of a bank and one was in front of a police station."

The two buildings targeted were about 30m apart - one on the edge of the market and the other at its centre.

The BBC's Aleem Maqbool, in Islamabad, says eyewitnesses say that much of the market remains inaccessible.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said the bombs were apparently remote-controlled devices, AP reports.

More than 400 people have been killed during a string of attacks mounted by Islamist militants in recent weeks, as an army offensive targeting the Taliban stronghold in the country's north-west continues.

Close to the country's border with India, Lahore has been hit several times by militants over the past year.

Earlier in the day, a suicide bomber detonated about 6kg (13lb) of explosives outside a courthouse in the north-western city of Peshawar.

The attack killed 10 people - including a policeman - and wounded 44 others.

brother bezerk, glad your brother is safe. Things in Peshawar are quite grim as well. People of Peshawar show their solidarity with our Lahorite brothers on this sad day. We must crush the people supporting these anti Pakistani groups and confront certain nearby elements who are providing them with the logistics. God bless Pakistan. Death to our enemies

LAHORE: Thirty-seven people were killed and over 100 sustained wounds as two consecutive blasts ripped through Lahore’s commercial center late on Monday nihgt, Geo news reported.

According to sources, the first blast was a suicide attack while the second was detonated through remote control device. However, the district administration said that both the blasts were result of suicide bombing and that the heads of both the bombers have been recovered from the site of the incident.

The Edhi Welfare Trust sources have also put the death toll at 37. On the other hand, CCPO Lahore Pervez Rathor has confirmed deaths of 30 people in both the attacks. The number of injured is over 100, he added.

Director General Rescue Operation said that 33 people died in the incident while 90 others were injured.

Those hurt also included women and children.

The two blasts occurred within seconds of each other at Lahore’s busy Moon Market in Allama Iqbal Town locality here. The first blast took place in the middle of the market while the second one near a private bank.

Fire erupted in the market immediately after the blasts, engulfing a number of shops and motor cycles parked in the nearby parking space.

The powerful blasts also shattered the windowpanes of the surrounding buildings.

Rescue efforts were immediately got underway after the blasts and the bodies and injured persons were started to be rushed in 1122 ambulances to nearby hospitals where emergency had been declared shortly after the tragic incident.

Some of the injured persons are said to be critical in condition.

DCO Lahore and heavy police contingents along with high officials reached the spot of the tragic incident.

Moon market is a commercial center of Iqbal Town, Lahore, where shoppers are normally present in large numbers. A suicide attack had also been launched at a police station in this area on 13 August last year in which 8 people lost their lives.
