All these old criticisms are obsolete.

The new Tejas will have AESA radar, advanced EW, very small RCS, sensor fusion, advanced weapons, a TWR greater than 1.1 and so on. All qualities present on aircraft like the Rafale and Typhoon.

Thanks to west @randomradio but this is not your indigenous product @randomradio , design is yours, composite is yours, mission computer and some of avionics is yours, some weapons is your but rest it all foreign in your Mighty a$$ Tej@$$ @randomradio you just import foriegn tech put in your vedic, cow piss Tej@$$ and called them that this tech is developed by india what jester you're @randomradio :jester: infect a whole India behaving like a jester @randomradio :jester:

Its fun to read Indian claims about how great Tejas is and how much superior it is over JF-17. They are welcome to take solace in the fact that at some point in 2030s, the new MK1A will be a potent aircraft when it finally rolls off the production lines. In the meantime, the 40 odd Tejas that have been budgeted and contracted for will be one-off aircraft, both in terms of engines, avionics, and airframes ... well at least that is what I have been able to gather after skimming through all the roona dhoona on LCA threads on BR.

So even if I concede that on paper the final version of Tejas will have "better" stuff in it (as if you have any idea of what is in JF-17 and how it performs), the problem is, given the track record of Indian entities, they are now designing a new aircraft under an old acronym and that means the gravy train for them will be running for another 2 decades at least. So go ahead and compare the future attributes of a plane that will be another two decades in the making with the ones flying right now if it makes you feel better. As for Pakistan or PAF, a bird in hand is better than two in the bush.

Id also add here the bullshit Indians like to spread about their "design philosophy" that somehow only the best of the best version of Tejas is good enough to be inducted in the IAF ... all the while their procurement of every other aircraft in their entire history says otherwise. I would speculate we know little of actually how poor the project has been managed and how sorry the actual state of the ADA/DRDO/HAL whatever built Tejas must be that IAF has been willing to keep its pilots flying the Mig-21 instead of even a barebones Tejas. In fact I did recall reading that the second line has such poor quality controls that they couldnt even build the first aircraft to a proper standard as the rest. So yeah ... keep harping about old criticisms ... where the fact is the plane being inducted reluctantly in the solo IAF squadron is more or less a failure ... else there would have been no need to have such drastic redesign requirements for a future version.
 
I totally agree with you. Please don't listen to Pakistanis, they are jealous of this great achievement Tejas. Please continue your great research and development on this jet, a little more investment of time and money will eventually turn it into Gen 6 aircraft.

I totally agree with you. Please don't listen to Pakistanis, they are jealous of this great achievement Tejas. Please continue your great research and development on this jet, a little more investment of time and money will eventually turn it into Gen 6 aircraft.

the order for initial 20 was in 2006 and second 20 in 2010..rate so far isnt even 2 /yr..with current facilities its 5/yr but they are expanding

realistically IAF needs to boast su 30, more rafale, a single jet deal and tejas all together to counter the 400+ j-10, 400+ flanker variants, not to count other aircrafts and soon than later over 100 j20s(20 already produced)

ideally to maintain 30-40% strength to PLAAF, IAF would need 120+ tejas, 120+ single jet, 72+ rafale, 300 su 30 and upgrading its older fleet of mig 29 and mirage 2000=120

~740 fighters vs PLAAF expected strength of 1000 4th gen fighters(400 j-10s, 400 flankers) 100-200 5th gen fighters by 2025(achieving above by 2025 will be marvel)

ultimately china intends to have 1700 fighters aircrafts to challenge USAAF 3000+ fighters and i am confident they will achieve that by 2030 by conservative estimates..
all the aircraft they intend to produce(j-20, flankers, j-10s) are in mass production already

so you are trying to tell me first prototype building was starting point of LCA project then where were goes the R&DD feasibility report @HariPrasad o_O first prototype of Tejas TD-1 was completed in 2001 so you're telling us your LCA project completed in just 17 years how it is possible @HariPrasad :crazy:

point is 8 out of 40 MK1(foc) have already joind IAF and two production lines already working in full swing so dont worry rest will come as times goes & when MKI production is over that line will too produce LCA MK1A hence then the real mass production will commence and thats mid of 2020

but by then 36 rafale would already be flying in IAF colours tell me can all of your PAF current Mirage III & IV + F7s & BLK42+ Blk52s can take on just Upgraded Jaguars +Mig29+ Migarge2000V5s+ Mig21 Bisons of IAF forget rafale or MKI :haha:

do you really think PLAAF has only IAF to worry about :azn:

what about the AIR FORCE OF 7Th US fleet in sea of Japan or Japnese air force or South Korean air force or Taiwanese Air Force or Vitnamese Air Force and we have kept Su30 MKIs for eastern border only & FGFA & AMCA in future also for that theater only for PAF owr Jaguars + Mig21s & Mig29s & Mirage 2000 V5s + LCA MK1 & MK1A are more than enough (even an over kill)

Read the post again KID. Don't try to twist the fact. IAF need atleast two year more for induction of LCA 40 numbers. This is not a Bollywood movie

The aircraft is 25 years too late. All the other Indian posters, keep talking about Tejas but one day the program will be shelved for some practical aircraft.
uts never too late and specially with a rag tag enemy air force like PAF which uses 1950s Mirage III & Mirage IV as its prime fighters in 2018 :haha:

any way Tejas has all its body & skin made in carbon composties & has 4 channell digital fly by wire and now with latest advancement in muti core chipsets and conductors based Centralised DATA BUS contorling all inified controls & avionics and Gan AESA based EW+ECM+RWRs+Internal Jammer suits & with a AESA Radar MK1A with 800 lesser wieght and better aerodynamics & much better engine and feul consumption & power to wwieght ratio can perfom much much better than current Mk1 (FOC) which already has HOBS & OBOGS which JF17 can only dream off :haha:

so its niethr old & obsolete or its any thing but harmelss to the enemy which the shokk they will get when they face it till then keep making fun of it like you guys made fun of hindus like one momin can kill 10 non momin in a snap and then as they say is history :coffee:
 
if indian aviation engineers worked as hard as these indian members here trying hard to prove how out of the world this teja is, then they might had some thing concrete to show off.. as of today all they blabbering that since 1983 that teja WILL have this Teja WILL have that . sole purpose of LCA project was to replace mig 21's so far it does not seem to happen any soon because IAF still preferring their old mig 21's over tejas.. :cheesy:
