Lapan SLV will be first tested in 2009. Indonesia plans to enter new era in satellite and rocket launcher technology.

The first launch will held on 2012 as an experimental launch that will give Indonesian scientist to explore more data from space.

i believe 6x6 or 8x8 will be great for pakistan....
as for indonesia, after testing T-90, the defence dept decided that MBT will be just a "pile box" in indonesian soft-muddy-soil....wheeled APC will be more realibe for troops transport and logistic as well as for firepower....

as for italy that transform their heavy tracked brigades to medium wheeled armor - Freccia they come with this conclusion

This is part of a drive to end overreliance on light brigades that lack combat power and heavy brigades that drag a slow, long logistics tail.

just light tank like scorpion...
why we dont buy al-khalid(t-90) from pak it just the same reason i've posted above...
curretly our doctrine is something like "fast troops deployment".....
remember indonesia is island country and the terrain is lot of mountain....
so for the defence dept, for current situasion MBT is somehow less necessary than APC.....
maybe later....after the APC brigades perfectly built.......dunno....because the rumors sez after this they gonna develop 8x8 and light tank....maybe someone up there simply dont like MBT....
but i agree indonesia and pakistan have better cooperation in defence....
