;):chilli::rofl:
seriously, you guys exaggarate and over-rate RAW or is it because your govts exaggarate RAW to cover up their own inefficiencey?:tsk:

Sir,
I really respect your humanity & your views about the situation in sri lanka.
But the thing is ......... you don't know the reality.Since starting of humanitarian mission in 2006, a single.............i mean a single innocent Tamil person did not die.Tamils are always our friends. We love them. But ,NO MERCY ON TERRORISTS.
:what:

I agree with your views on terrorists, but I cant believe your claims about collateral damage. since it is highly improbable, especially because the LTTE is even trying to use tamilians(innocent) as human shield.

your country might be suppressing the details.

yehhhhhhhhhh. that's the truth.sri lanka recieved a cargo fulled with arms from pakisthani friends per ten days

We ,all sri lankans salute to pakisthanis & appreciate their helping hand:cheers:

good. gratitude is good.
but if one cargo makes all sri lankans stand and salute pakistanis, I wonder, wat sri lankans would do for the long and steady support of india in every way!:undecided:

I don't think the member said anything about India ?
He is happy that Pakistan is supplying them arms and ammunition to take on terrorists and there is absolutely nothing wrong in that.
India is helping Sri Lanka, for it behooves us and is also in our mutual interest and not because of any desire to receive accolades, gratitude from the Sri Lankans.

I understand that, I was just trying to remind him in good humour that india has done a lot of help to sri lanka, as well. infact, more than any other country. so, before they come up with such conspiracy theories to satisfy their domestic audience, they should also remember the good deeds.

Colombo: Reiterating its aim to find a political solution to the ethnic conflict and a military solution to extremism, Sri Lanka on Saturday said India has "reaffirmed" its support to eliminate terrorism from the island nation and in the region. Issuing a statement on the visit of Indian Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon, the president's office here said that President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Menon had held a nearly 90-minute meeting in the central hill district of Kandy "covering a wide area of relations between the two countries".

"The visiting foreign secretary reaffirmed India's cooperation with Sri Lanka in the attempts to eliminate terrorism from Sri Lanka and the region, and observed that at present the relations between India and Sri Lanka have never been so close, so warm and so deep," the statement said.

According to the statement, Rajapaksa briefed Menon on current developments in Sri Lanka "including the military victories being achieved by the Sri Lankan security forces against the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam)".

"President Rajapaksa reiterated that the goal of his government was to find a political solution to the problem of ethnic relations in Sri Lanka, and that he would deal with terrorism firmly and militarily, as the situation required," it said.

The Indian High Commission here is yet to make a statement on Menon's meeting with Rajapaksa.

Coinciding with Menon's visit, India Friday announced the second instalment of humanitarian assistance amounting to Sri Lankan rupees 40 million for the war-affected Tamil civilians in Sri Lanka's north.

Menon Friday handed over a token consignment of medicines to senior presidential adviser Basil Rajapaksa as part of the humanitarian assistance by India to the people stranded in the northern battle zone.

The first consignment of approximately 1,700 tonnes comprising 80,000 ready-to-use family packs containing food, clothing and personal hygiene items arrived in Sri Lanka three weeks ago and has already been distributed to the needy with the assistance of the ICRC and the cooperation of the government of Sri Lanka.

The Indian high commission said in a statement Friday that India "will continue to work with Sri Lanka in meeting the humanitarian needs of the civilian population in northern Sri Lanka".

Menon held talks with Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama Friday.

He also met Ranil Wickremesinghe, the leader of the main opposition United National Party (UNP), and leaders of key Muslim and Tamil parties, including the pro-LTTE Tamil National Alliance (TNA) here Friday.

The government last week said it was planning to develop Kilinochchi, former political headquarters of the rebel LTTE in the north, with the assistance of India. It is not immediately known if this was discussed during Menon's meeting with the president. (IANS)
India's support to eliminate terrorism reaffirmed: Sri Lanka

As a srilankan ,I know very well about Indian behavior about neighbors. They are responsible to plant & grow the most brutal inhuman terrorist organization ,named LTTE (Liberation of Tamil Tigers ellam) which is being destroyed by little but brave sri lankan Army.So , i would like to warn all the Pakistanis, Beware of THEM, THEY(u know who) WILL TRY TO DO IT AGAIN.
May Sri lankan Pakistan friendship last long:cheers:

LTTE is indeed a brutal organisation, but isnt their creation based on the inhuman way tamils were/are being treated? how can you blame india? if it werent for india, LTTE cant be defeated and your defence minister knows that.

I am appalled at the anti-indian feeling you expressed.

India’s dreaded RAW infiltrates into Sri Lanka’s London High Commission and Bars Diplomats from meetings

Colombo, 22 March, (Asiantribune.com): The Sri Lanka High Commission in London has been infiltrated by agents working for India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and managing powerful person’s working in the High Commission to run affairs in the mission according to an agenda of the dreaded intelligence service, it is alleged.

“ The purpose of the infiltration is to impose India’s plan of devolution of power fully through so called peace agitators and bar this information from the defense services of Sri Lanka so that accurate counsel regarding these matters will not be available to the President of Sri Lanka,” an insider of the High commission told the Asian Tribune.

The RAW operatives were fully successful in barring the Defense Counsellor Brigadier Prasad Samarasinghe from few meetings they took part with High Commissioner Mrs. Kshenuka Senewiratne and her confidants although the normal practice is to invite all diplomats at the High Commission for such meetings. Few other diplomats were also barred from the meeting.

Arranged by the hierarchy of the High Commission the RAW operatives who are sometimes called double agents recently made a study tour of Sri Lanka at the expense of the Sri Lanka government and obtained five star hotel accommodations from the government.

In addition to the meeting they did not want to share with the Defense Counselor of the High Commission intelligence sources in Colombo said the perpetrators of the RAW operation went to a Chennai based website which is constantly been used by the two main RAW operators dealing with Sri Lankan political operations there to freely attack three Sri Lankans, two diplomats, and a journalist mercilessly whom they think are obstacles to London’s RAW plan. The RAW related website is Sri Lanka Guardian that has allowed any libelous piece written by the RAW operative.

The RAW double agents are furious that they were not able to enter Eastern Province during their recent trip to Sri Lanka for which they blame the Ministry of Defense.

Sri Lankan agents of the same group have approached a diplomat and warned him that if he ever writes anything revealing the affairs of the Chief RAW agent that he might be deported from Britain as they are so powerful.

The Lanka Guardian website is set up to promote the Indian Government official views on Sri Lanka through two well known intelligence operatives Col R. Hariharan, a retired MI specialist on South Asia, and Bahukutumbi Raman, former Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, and Govt. of India, who was in charge of RAW openly and also through other RAW operative clandestinely to influence the Sri Lankans to the thinking of India. This will ultimately bring sovereign Sri Lanka under the political tutelage of India, the operatives believe.

For months the Sri Lanka Guardian, has been publishing defamatory articles against Walter Jayawardhana , long before he arrived in London and the High Commissioner for reasons only known to herself has been opposing his appointment as a Minister Counsellor.

It has been reported to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the first orders of High Commissioner Mrs. Kshenuka Senewiratne was to order Jayawardhana that he should immediately stop releasing his items in the web and the Indian press which were intended to sabotage a mega Musical Show organized by the LTTE elements in London to earn one million Pound Sterling. Jayawardhana defied orders and sabotaged the Mega Musical Show. Now Jayawardhana is barred from all diplomatic meetings at the London High Commission. Jayawardhana a former reporter for the Daily News and a science writer for the Lankadeepa and its news editor before he became a Jefferson Fellow of the East West Center of the University of Hawaii had been also the Asiaweek’s staff man in Los Angeles. He is also a Sri Lankan Attorney at law.

The second person they severely attacked in the RAW related website is the hardworking Dr. Jayan Jayatilleke Sri Lanka’s ambassador in Geneva whom they consider an extremely dangerous man who could be a great obstacle to the RAW and LTTE plans.

The man who instigates the writing of this website is the man who went to Sri Lanka, with the help of High Commissioner Kshenuka Senewiratne, and enjoyed the hospitality of the government to implement a foreign intelligence service plan. But yet he calls the editor of the Asian Tribune a pandankaraya of the government. A commentator in Los Angeles Harry Hatharasinghe queried, “does it mean that the Sri Lanka High Commissioner in London hates pandankarayasof the government and supports its opponents”. If, this man continues to go the Sri Lanka High Commission with authority, bar diplomats there from his meetings with the High Commissioner and some other representatives of the government whose policies prevail at the High Commission?

While the LTTE has been going from strength to strength in London the High Commissioner has been doing nothing. Nesan Shankar Raji, a senior member of EROS said he had been liaising with the High Commission staff regarding the LTTE'S activities for nearly two years and much of the information given by him was not acted upon. He said that he later had to resort to liaising with the authorities concerned directly as he was frustrated with the High Commissioner, her staff and their lack of competence. Many Diaspora members alike have now abandoned their voluntary work with the High Commission following their frustration with its staff.

It is alleged that the High Commissioner Kshenuka's husband, Mr. Seniwaratne is a known wheeler dealer amongst the Sri Lankan Diaspora and is closely associated with members of the BTF (British Tamil Forum), the eyes of the LTTE in the UK . Mr. Senewiratne is said to be closely associated with Mr. S. Balasundaram of the BTF and many of the pro-LTTE Councilors in London. The Diaspora alleges that those links , apart from the RAW links also tell a long story short about the plight of the London High Commission’s anti-LTTE activities.

When Asian Tribune contacted Nilantha Illangamuwa who is according to our information is one of the Editors of Sri Lanka Guardian. He denied that he is the Editor but said that the Editor is one Mr. Azad, a Sri Lankan refugee hiding in Chennai. When asked for his mailing address and his telephone number he said that he does not know his address and telephone number but he contacts him only through his e-mail ID editoraazd@gmail.com

This revelation of Nilantha Illangamuwa confirmed our suspicion that Sri Lanka Guardian is a web blog organized and run by RAW and double agents of LTTE who lurks under the guise of democrats in London.

LTTE's India links were far more dubious than are made out to be

Manvendra Singh

NEW DELHI, November 12: Soldiers are the only innocents in politics. So it seems from the tale of a distraught father looking for his Army-officer son, evacuated with a head wound. The father walked into a hospital room only to be told by the nurse that, ``These four injured are cadres of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), and your son is in the next room''.

This was in November 1987, the injured Army officer served in the Indian Peace Keeping Force, and the mistaken hospital room was in Chennai, India! In the truest sense of non-alignment, the Government of India and its state government in Tamil Nadu were simultaneously treating the LTTE cadres injured by the IPKF; and the IPKF personnel injured by the LTTE.

A cross-section of officials who dealt with India's crisis in Sri Lanka are clear about New Delhi's duplicity in dealing with the LTTE. The furore, therefore, over portions of the Jain Commission report pointing fingers at one of the Dravidian political parties is misplaced on account of one basic fact, every political organisation in Tamil Nadu, national or regional, was involved in promoting and sustaining activities of the LTTE and they were aided by the intelligence agencies of the Centre as well as the State Government.

``So much of this mish-mash, cross wiring of political and military decisions left us wondering as to who was actually in charge of policy'', says Major General (Retd) Ashok Mehta, a division commander during IPKF operations.

From the beginning of India's involvement with militant Sri Lankan Tamil groups in 1981, until late 1993, its intelligence agencies were actively involved with, and in the promotion of, the LTTE; and for most of this period, the Congress was the ruling party.

The recently published book Assignment Colombo by J N Dixit, the former Foreign Secretary and the then High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, is replete with instances of active contact maintained by agencies of the governments of India and Tamil Nadu with the LTTE, even after the commencement of `Operation Pawan' by the IPKF. Dixit is explicit in stating that, but for the armed forces, no other Indian agency conducted itself with honour and integrity during the entire involvement with the Sri Lankan Tamil problem.

``As a result, what we had in Sri Lanka was a mess and Delhi was neck-deep in what it had created'' said a serving officer. ``So we don't even know whether, first, information about the IPKF was being passed on to the LTTE, and secondly, how much help is given to them after all that has happened'', he added.

Even while Indian soldiers were dying in the jungles of north and eastern Sri Lanka, New Delhi was still engaging the LTTE in talks, and Chennai was allowing the militants to rest, recoup and refit in Tamil Nadu. And some intelligence agents were ambushed in the company of LTTE by the IPKF, unaware that New Delhi's operatives were even there and, above all, moving with the militants.

Similarly, the intelligence agencies even organised an ambush in Amparai by the Indian-raised Tamil National Army on a Sri Lankan Army brigade commander without the knowledge of the IPKF leadership. There is even the case of detailed maps made available to the intelligence agencies, but locked away in dusty cupboards, while the IPKF casualties mounted because of insufficient information.

While a senior intelligence official was arrested for passing information to a western country, officials closely involved with the crisis declared unequivocally that each agency was pursuing its own agenda in Sri Lanka and each kept the government informed, but only from its parochial perspective.

``So while its soldiers were fighting in the jungles, its diplomats managing the crisis, New Delhi continued to hobnob with the LTTE through its intelligence operatives'', said a serving official, once closely involved with the crisis. Such contacts, therefore, resulted in Rajiv Gandhi meeting Kasi Anandan, a senior LTTE functionary, at his 10 Janpath residence months before he was assassinated.
