Deepika Kumari scores 53 in the final round to finish 20th with 640 points. Bombayla Devi finishes 24th with 638. Both of them qualify for the round of 32. Laxmirani Majhi finishes with 614 points to finish 43rd. India qualify for the quarterfinals of the team event in 7th position with a total of 1892 points.

She completely missed one shot in 2nd half, a rare thing followed by a 5er due to shattered confidence otherwise she was easily in top 10. Still they are unpredictable, can win.

Overall I say good day for India. 3 out of 4 archers have qualified and the women's team have also qualified

I think there is no elimination in this round though some sources are saying so. So Majhi will get a chance to improve her performance.

In weight lifting women 48 kg , I think Mirabai Chanu has the chance of her lifetime to make podium finish. China is not sending any one in this category despite having best two weighlifters in this category. They lift 200kg + in comparison with Chanu's best of 192 kg. Without the Chinese it's now open to anybody.
