‘Indian Navy on its way to become world class force’

NO BANGLADESHIS POLE VAULTS INTO INDIA.

Man, where do you get such weird ideas. DO you live in mars or something.:undecided:

China is a brotherly friendly country and an ally. And I was just helping your delusional countrymen come out of their bollywood fantasies.:D

Yes we can. Nothing is impossible provided you have the right leadership and circumstances. BD having a green water navy is very much possible in the future and its rather a necessity given our
geographical location and a natural thing to achieve for the 3rd largest muslim state in the world.:)

First have a respectable army, then talk if something called navy.n remember something no matter what happens u cockroaches need nukes to negate us.one missile out ours n the third largest muslim country gone into extinct history books

U ppl don't have money to buy first hand tanks n dream of teaching us a lesson, as always a bong always farts from his mouth.

I have a request to Admiral Verma;

Ask your eastern command to do something about a bunch of pesky intrusive fundos openly attacking an entire region of the country.

Rename it from the 'Indian Navy' to the 'Imported Navy'

IN started getting indigenous ships long before your copycat shipyards got tech charity from the Soviets.

Care to check IN's indigenization before spilling garbage here.

Chankya ideology holding saffron hegemonist are starting a arms race here just to suit their ego.

Oh yeah, you bet. We're coming after you soon.
PAK should also pursue a semi-blue water naval capability with SL and BD having a green water navy.
 Good one.

And its time for chinese bases all around IOR. There is simple no other alternative to preserve regional stability and peace from this saffron colored extremist.

Go on do it. What are you waiting for?

Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think that now Russians are planning up some new carriers as well as designing some new machines this carrier might going to be offered to IN in coming time as its also going with some refitts very soon.

Little chance of that happening.
I.E. India buying another carrier from the Russians. India already has some template of Carriers designed in-house. Which are more optimised for Indian requirements. Just consider the fact that the Gorshkov had to be extensively re-designed and re-built to Indian specs to become the INS Vikramaditya.

India will build its own Carriers, going forward, even an offer of a RN Carrier; as has been speculated by some people will not acceptable.

indian now has no need to buy a aircraft carrier from russia.
we are already builting vikranth aircraft carrier even though we face some delays but its always better to built our own stuff which are made upto our own specifications and needs.
After Vikrant is commisioned whole world we get to know about our navies expertise in building such huge warships.

You are right but some says that this carrier which is like Russian Nimtz has some special features in which IN is interested and they will going to love it a lot after a super refit that Russian are going to give it. Russian's wants to sell it to IN just not to gain some money but also to deepen their relationship which they think is being taken away by the NATOs block.

Although IN has their own Anti sub corvette design but also heard about the purchase of some newer stealth corvettes from Russian about 6-8 of them:

Although BDs are evaluating this and Chinese ones too.

Hey Nishan....keep it up buddy.....

Press "Thanks" as we are also in near future going for type 056 Corvettes and there are under table talks with Chinese along side the newer version of 7 F-22Ps till 2022.
PN should go for 11-15 of Type 056 Corvettes from China

Although lacking in Submarines but very soon to join in the U-214 program or to take license to produce at least 7 in the first phase.

Pakistan has learnt some lesson from the past is now looking to diversify its procurement as well as JVs. We want EU Subs like U-214, Qing is not as advance as U-214 and the problem is that its still under development and we are going to get it or if we had some money then we might have joined in the program as they are willing to allow us. Wait and see what will happen.
Tell me does IN looking for more French subs or Swedish ones????

India will source Destroyers, Frigates and Corvettes from Indian yards/sources. Simply because they are optimised designs for Indian requirements and conditions. Even the Weapon fitouts are customised, a combination of some Russian and increasingly Western/Israeli based designs being made in India. Take for example; the Brahmos from India, the Baraks from the Indo-Israeli JV, the Otobreda SRGMs which are made by BHEL and the Torpedoes from BDL, the Bofors AAD guns all from from India, the ASW Rocket Launchers and AK CIWS systems from Russia. Now couple that with Radars, Sonars, E/O sensors from India and Europe. Makes a tidy package.

Even the Talwar class Frigates from Russia are in fact Ships that the DND of IN redesigned from the Russian Krivak Frigates. Which changes Russia will incorporate in to their own Frigates as well.

Big ticket imports for the IN will be dying out. Maybe one or two more Akulas.

IMO, the U-214 deal for the PN is dead as a doornail. The Qings will be acquired once China agrees to do so.

About the future subs for India, it seems to be a face-off between German and French. The Germans are offering the U-214 or the U-216 which is a larger, longer ranged, deeper diving version of the U-214. The Swedes are out. Though there have been talks between the Indians and Swedes for TOT for the Stirling AIP system which IN considers to be superior to the MESMA system. If that comes through, then it will become part of Project 75i.

It might come across again with new leafs like PN and Germans might going to work on U-216 and then co-produce it. I am sure that the Chinese Submarines are not on the cards of PN as for now. So if things get better in coming year for PN then JV on U-216 is going to happen soon and will be able to see 7 U-216 very soon till 2020 for sure and then another & NG submarine.

Indian Navy is planning big with an eye over China's growing capability. It has 184 ships in its Navy today, India is building 101 new warships among which most are combat ships and submarines of different kind. After 2020 it will add another 20 year plan for Navy with more ships in addition to these 101 ships, so the number will rise in future. It is expected that by 2030, Indian Navy may have at least 232 ships in its arsenal including 4 Aircraft Carriers, 20 Destoyers, 24 Frigates, 30 Corvettes, 31 Submarines [ 2 Russian Akula-2 class SSN, 3 Arihant class SSBN, 4 follow-on Arihant class SSBN, 1 larger Arihant class SSN, 6 Scorpene SSK, 5 Diesel Electric SSK, 10 present Russian Kilo class SSK with modification], 50 offshore vessels, 24 mine counter measure vessels, 15 Landing Ship Tanks, 3 Amphibious Transport Docks, 11 Reconaissence/Refueller Ship Tankers, 10 Submarine recovery vessels, 10 other ships. Together thenavy & coast guard will comprise of 352 vessels by 2030 (3rd largest/4th largest by 2030).
