BrahMos deployed in AP is basically a tactical missile meant for battlefield interdiction and that means VA/VP in the Tibetan Autonomous Region. Being of short range they necessarily have to be deployed close to the FEBA. These missiles are basically 'Counter Force' weapons.
Other missiles with longer ranges which would come in the category of 'Counter Value' WMDs would naturally be deployed much farther away, somewhere in Northern India but they would ensure strategic reach to cover most of Chinese industrial and other strategic infrastructure.
For example, let's take the Agni III. This Counter Value or 'Counter City missile' as some would like to call such missiles would not be deployed in AP or areas close to the borders. It can cover the whole of China from Wheelers Island itself. Here...
So don't display your ignorance when you know squat about the basics. Try and study some papers on how all weapon systems are synergised starting from acquisition of information from satellites, target selection, and deployment, not only for CV nukes but CF tactical nukes as well. The deployment of the BrahMos in AP is just a cog in the wheel.
And by the way, the BrahMos is a joint development between Russia and India. It's not a 'Russian' missile as you have mentioned. For your info, 'Brah' stands for
Brahmaputra and the 'Mos' stands for
