Okay they won't but then they won't get orders from Indian military in future either if they sell sensitive technology

What your Indian don't understand is that Russia has realize that they will not be big supplier of weapons systems to India and its about money not just about selling weapons, so they are now creating new friends whom they can do business and make money, its not necessary that they have to sell just military equipment to make money, and China is not distancing it self with Russia, China is trying to be 100% self reliant because they are the ones who can take super power status in future and no one can change that in foreseeable future.

China itself is moving away from Russia, you could have bought the flankers, but your doctrine doesnt suite it

How do you know they fit our doctrine or not?? and doctrines evolve or change as per threat perception, if PAF don't seen need of Sino flankers then why elite PAF pilots are flying them in China??

ok india is big cutomer ?
then who is in asia except china.. even china they think twice for IPR issue ..
please mention russia new potential frindes with budget /orders biiger than india

Dear sir,
the "rafale deal" also known as MMRCA, fielded Mig 35 (Modernized Mig29ovt) not the Su30 and Su35. Also not to forget India is the largest foreign operator of the Su30 MKI which is a highly customized version of SU30 which includes some of Su35 features. So much so that RuAF has ordered the same aircraft based on the Su30MKI.

Next I hope you realize that MMRCA is a 20 billion dollar order, and Russia already has 50+ Billion dollar order for Joint Production of PMF- FGFA, with another 200 billion in the spread of next ten years with second Nuclear Sub lease, Diesel Electric sub, Follow on to Talwar class frigates, Mig29K's, Mig29upg upgrades, Konkurs, Invar and kornet atgm's, MRTT, and brahmos along with the support for the recently procured A/c carrier.

So in your expert opinion, would you be abandoning a book order of 250 billion dollars to align yourself with potential sale of few million dollars. btw it's not just russia, the french are on the same boat too...

India cracks N-liability barrier with Russia
he two Russian reactors, meant for India’s Kudankulam plant near Chennai, will each cost about $2.5 billion (Rs 15,000 crore) and will generate electricity that will cost customers just under Rs 6 a unit, according to detailed calculations by Indian negotiators.

Have you studied finance?? do you know the concept of earning on large pool with low profit??

India will remain Russian client but it is losing its leverage with them and now it will not be as it was a decade ago, when India was in position to dictate Russia on many issues specially related to Pakistan.

Tell me a twin engine fighter aircraft in PAF

Russians retiring Mi-35? Au contra-ire .

In October 2007, the Russian Air Force announced it would replace its Mi-24 fleet with Mi-28Ns and Ka-52s by 2015.[5][6] However due to economics the Russian Air Force will upgrade some Mi-24s and keep them in service past 2015, as will the Russian Navy. - Wikipedia

Implementation of Bondarev’s promise would give Russia 130 Mi-28s by 2020, alongside 140+ Ka-52s. That would more than replace the current Mi-24 Hind fleet, and Russia has also ordered 60+ modernized Mi-35M Hinds to help fill in the gaps. -DefenseIndustryDaily 2011
Russia Improving its Mi-28 Attack Helicopter Fleet

Now if seriously some members cant even differentiate between phasing out / up gradation of old Mi24 and ordering of new modernized versions of Mi24 - the Mi35M Hinds to serve with the Russian Air-force , they should improve their comprehension skills rather than waste the forum's space with their broken tapes again and again . Some other people seem to have a very difficult time understanding that Pakistan isn't obviously getting what India got back during the times of Soviet Union , this is common sense I believe , but the latest variant which is still amongst the best gunship helicopters in the world , the nonsensical analogies of sword against rifle and .303 in AK-47's era , I hope will stop with this simple explanation . Consider it my last reply on this topic , one can only reply to idiotic repetitive posts that much .

Currently none, but PAF has good experience of using twin engine planes and as per modernization plan PAF has intentions to induct twin engine planes if funds are available.

tell me simple thing even russia loose lets say 50% indian market stil it goes in $ 80-100 bilion if not less
tell me who can provide that scale and with gurantee of IPR ?

Russia's President Vladimir Putin has signed a multi-billion dollar, 30-year gas deal with China
No official price has been given but it is estimated to be worth over $400bn.
so 400/30 = 13..33 /year

you Indian will never accept the fact that you are loosing leverage with Russia as you gain it with west and US, there is a price for every thing.

You Indian never study International Relations & History or you people just want to troll?? although US & China had rivalry since Korean war but they still have worked together specially in economic field and even in defense field prior to Tienanmen square incident, nations put their interest first and for that they can be friends with any one, no one is permanent enemy or friend in this world.

well buddy , you are talking the time of cold war, where Russia was common enemy of US and china. now China is replaced Russia and become US enemy. Stopping Russia that is priority.

India will spend $100 billion in modernizing, Russia from a supplier has shifted its focus to strategic partner for development, PAK-FA, Brahmos, MTA etc, Russia could try make new friends but Again i say, if sensitive technology is sold (not Mi-35) russia would lose its partner in India. India doesnt partner russia in Defense only, look at our oil and gas partnership, ONGC have oil fields in russia. We have too many stakes in each others countries. Russia is also setting up Factories in India to Manufacture and develop weapons with local partners. So yes India would still have a say

i asked some very basic question from one senior member , why Russia is phasing out 250+ its Mi-24/35 for M-28N. and he don't have the answer.
