India presents China a two-front problem, says US navy chief

Enemy's enemy is a good fit candidate to be a friend with...we need US diplomatic clout in our favor, it can atleast pressure Pak not to open second front in case of war with China which is inevitable, India can just buy some time to prepare but the war will happen for sure in a decade or two...

That pressure may have worked in 1962 but won't work next time.

the indian border is mountainous and extremely difficult to operate in.
its a front but a small one, you'll never see millions of men fighting it out there.

as such, it'll never present a major threat.
a real actually useful second front would look like france/russia against germany. or NATO/china against the soviet union, millions of men stationed on the borders and relatively open terrain in both cases.
this is not to mention that us-china conflict is primary naval and aerial in nature leaving the army nearly entirely free, not that china needs to worry about having a big enough army.

There are definitely quite a few natsec types in DC trying to come up with any possible way so that US doesn't suffer a huge loss in a potential conflict, because that's what all the DoD war games are telling them. Elbridge Colby is having a real hard time with this. He has also been trying to tell the Japanese to triple their defense budget. All with the goal of keeping US hegemon.

The problem is that they keep wanting to overlook this huge natural barrier called Himalayas between China and India. And they want to keep overlooking the pressure on India presented by Pakistan. PLA has 5 theater commands. The Western theater command by itself has plenty of firepower to overcome any Indian attack.

Very foolish idea to setup a US military base in India. Better solve the problem with China peacefully through dialogue. Didn't you learn from an eternal conflict with Pakistan? To develop the nation you need peace; this kind of geopolitical games won't do you any good.

China has the capability of opening at least 3 front war situation for India.

Pakistan, BD, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Myanmar are stongly in the Chinese camp. already.

Defeating and occupying India is a piece of cake for China but Chinese focus is on Taiwan, SCS, Korea, Japan and Philippines.

Chinese know that Pakistan can take care of India and they do not need to get involved.

And it is a front in which PLA is outmatched in mountain warfare.

You crack nice jokes.

What advanced science or technologies have indians invented 100% indigenously themselves?
Google UPI

it will replace your cards for local transactions and will replace SWIFT for International transactions.

btw Indians are using UPI According to the latest data the country has clocked as many as 32 Billion of digital transactions between April-July this year.

Chinese know that Pakistan can take care of India and they do not need to get involved.
If Chinese really think this way then Indians should be buying more arms and start spending more on defence
