India offers to protect China oil shipments

hehehehehe. Why would Chian depend on Indian Navy that could not sight even rubber boats crossing into India ;)

On another note, Why would China let Indians have an eye on its military shipments as growing presence of China in Indian Ocean is not only for oil but rather more strategic depth with on one hand Gawadr, on the other Hambantota in Sri Lanka and foots in Mauritius, China is in a better position.

tasteless.....:disagree:

...... china and india have more to give each other in business than 'strategic depth'.......if they come head to head with indian navy in Indian ocean..they will have more to lose than just strategic depth....

Lately it was India who is sleepless over Chinese presence, growing infulence in Indian Ocean and not the otherway round.

Besides its India who had offered out of its own fears and China did not ask India for any such help.

Above all read the entire first post, you will see Indian reslessness behind this offer.

yes... india is unhappy with chinese presence in indian ocean...
as is china with our military developments along the border....
and by the way dont u guys fret on us?

but if this goes to next level india might have to take drastic measures in the indian ocean...eg:india has already made andaman nicobar bases to full fledged naval and air bases,,,,is raising more than 30000 troops specialized in jungle and mountain warfare...

india and china are huge economies..both have more than one good reason not to have a war...

its just one step by india to ease tensions...
now u can look at it as weakness...and dream on...

we indians definately look at it in another way

China never talk of the war rather the rehtoric was more from Indians and we remember till the start of New year everyday Indians use to come up with new rehtoric about Chinese invading Indian land.

As far the economies, the US-China economic equation is also a point to be considered, US is not going to take on China directly.

Besides it was US base which had also worried India in the past and the same can not be ruled out in the future :)

The bottom line is its India who needs China more than China needs India.

Its like fox (india) asking for job to guard hen house (ships). Who in the world would trust fox to guard hen house?

do u know indian navy has been praised heavily in its anti piracy role(hence india is already providing safe passage to many ships through indian ocean hence its not abou who in the world ;its do u trust us and we dont care about tat answer happy now)

don speak without knowledge

and the article posted that china should break india in pieces was not war rhetoric..right?

we r not happy with US having base near our main land....

but we r not that much desperate that we would want any other country to have a base near us to negate US...unlike some countries..:azn:

nor do we want US to have a base here to negate china.....we dont want any cold war type situation in indian ocean region(South asia)

we south asians have lost much in the first cold war(U no better than us)..we know better not get involved in another one..our main and only concern is our security....

To answer your question, let me first ask you to guard against illogical analogy and rant. I am sure you are high on something and wont understand a word. Don't bother with the Hen's house or the fox's den. Get a life!

India is a peace loving country at the core and I don't think every news that relates to India should be seen with an eye of suspicion. No doubt this is a Pakistan defence forum but the replies are getting so monotonously predictable that some of them don't make simple sense.

:) you are comparing an article by a Chinese think tank with official statements from India :P

:) it all depends on your interests which every way these swing you keep on swinging on that side.

Lets see if you can have guts to side with China

It has already been started if not then go and check the new developments.

I PERSONALLY FEEL AS TIME PASSES BY INDIA AND CHINA WILL RESOLVE THEIR DIFFERENCES AND WILL BECOME FRNDS OR MAJOR STRATEGIC PARTNERS(REASON BEING ECONOMICAL COOPERATION)

wrong it not about siding its about supporting anti china(not becoming proxy)
