The following is a map of Bangladesh with all its districts:

Here is the possible Indian plan with Bangladesh, as expressed by an Indian poster:

India working to make Bangladesh a desert | Page 41
"We will slowly annex smaller countries like we annexed Skkim,GOa,Hyderabaad e.t.c. .

Fisrt part of the operation is complete that is installing puppet regime on the target country.Second part is to slowly annex parts of the target country which is progressing at a good rate.
In case of Nepal we have rooted out border pillars which seperated Nepalian and Indian border and in case of Bangaldesh we have encroached some lands but your gov. is silent about it."

Indian annexation plan for Nepal and Bhutan is mentioned in this thread:
India's fear of Chicken Neck and annexation plan of Nepal and Bhutan

India does not want to add Muslim population to its existing pool of minority Muslims, so unlike the cases for Nepal and Bhutan where India welcome the population with the land, India has no plans for complete annexation of Bangladesh which would mean adding a huge Muslim population of Bangladesh as Indian citizens. The plan however is to dismember some parts of Bangladesh that will provide tremendous strategic value for India and then oust the Muslim population in these parts to the remaining rump state.

In earlier decades RAW had the following project:

Bangladesh’s cooperation with India is likely linked to its desire for concessions on related issues. Dhaka’s economic concerns were discussed in last Thursday’s post; also to note is its call for New Delhi to crack down on opponents of the Bangladeshi government active on Indian soil. Of particular concern is Bangabhumi Andolan, an organization dedicated to carving out a Hindu-dominated country from southeastern Bangladesh. Although Hindus are relatively numerous in this region (see map), they are still clearly outnumbered by Muslims. Bangabhumi Andolan hopes to create a Hindu majority through the immigration of those who left or were forced out of the region during and after the partition of 1947, although the removal of Muslims would probably be necessary as well. In 2003, movement organizers symbolically declared the independence of the Hindu Republic of Bangabhumi (alternatively called Bir Bango).

Although Bangabhumi Andolan does not seem to be very potent, Bangladesh is worried. According to Bangladeshi sources, “the movement has set up more than a dozen training centres with clandestine supply of money and arms … with the objective of arms struggle for creation of the Hindu land.” It has also staged public rallies on Indian territory, most recently in July 2010. Both Bangladeshi and Pakistani sources have accused India of supporting Bangabhumi Andolan in order to destabilize Bangladesh. According to Pakistan Defense, the Indian external intelligence agency RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) created the group in order to “disintegrate Bangladesh.” Several hard-core Hindu nationalist groups have rallied to the cause. A 2003 article on an extremist website asks, “how long can the Hindus live under House-Arrest in the Barbaric Bhoot-Bangla of Bangladesh?” The article itself is tellingly entitled, “Recognize The New Hindu State As You Cowards Recognize Islamic Bogusdesh.” (According to the website in which it appears, Bangladesh is a “bogus” country—hence “Bogusdesh”—originally “created by the British … [as East Pakistan] to cut off direct land, spiritual, trade and cultural communications between Hindu Bharat and Buddhist Myanmar.”)

If the Indian intelligence agency RAW has indeed created Bangabhumi Andolan to use against Bangladesh, it could be playing with a two-edged sword. Recent reports claim that the organization also wants to hive off a section of the Indian state of West Bengal for its proposed country, thus potentially diminishing India. It is entirely possible, however, that Bangladeshi partisans would regard such claims to Indian territory as a mere smokescreen, designed to superficially distance Bangabhumi Andolan from its handlers in Indian intelligence. In South Asian geopolitics, such allegations of subterfuge are hard to escape."
Saparat country for Hindus in Bangladesh ?

In addition to the RAW inspired Bangabhumi plan mentioned above it would be of great benefit to India if it could annex two strategically important parts (1 and 2 below). So there is a total of 3 areas that India would possibly like to dismember from Bangladesh and annex, using its overwhelming superiority of force:

1. Entire Rangpur Division

2. Parts of Chittagong Division that includes the following districts: Chittagong, Cox's Bazaar, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Rangamati Hill Tracts and Bandarban Hill Tracts

and

3. the earlier mentioned Bangabhumi which includes Khulna and Barisal divisions and parts of Dhaka division that is south of Padma river (all parts of Bangladesh south of Padma river)

Extremist Hindutva nationalist party BJP is poised to take reigns of India with Modi elected as its Prime Minister. Already there was declaration by a BJP leader, Swamy, that India should claim 1/3 land of Bangladesh if Bangladesh does not take back around 50 million Muslim Bengali's all of whom are supposedly illegal migrants from Bangladesh. This could be a perfect pretext for a swift invasion, occupation of all 3 areas described above and then make a population exchange (all Hindu's from rest of Bangladesh moving to these new areas and Bangladeshi Muslims moving out from these areas to the remaining rump state):
Bangladesh must handover one-third land to India as compensation: Swamy

Currently our armed forces are weak due to neglect by pro-India Awami League govt., even with a stronger armed forces Bangladesh will fail to stop an Indian invasion by itself as Indian Armed forces are bigger and better equipped.

If India is successful in the execution of above plan, it will mean a completely changed strategic scenario for China. The earlier Chicken neck will be expanded from 14 mile wide to at least 100 miles wide. The annexed Rangpur division will also provide space for Brahmaputra (Jamuna) to be diverted away from entering Bangladesh and flow via a new path in mainland India, marked in red below:

Annexation of parts of Chittagong division will mean end of land locked status for Indian Northeast states and access to a ready made Chittagong port:

We may have a small window of opportunity to save Bangladesh from this Indian plan:
- if people of Bangladesh become aware of the dangers in time and then start taking steps to foil Indian plan
- if there is a way to remove pro-India Awami League from power and bring a China friendly party in power
- armed forces are expanded and bolstered with purchase of new equipment
- even if armed forces are built up and are stronger than before, it will not be enough to stop an Indian invasion, so a mutual defense treaty may have to be signed with China
- China may agree to this proposal if Bangladesh can provide some incentives such as full basing rights at any part of its territory and free movement of any branches of PLA (Ground Force, Navy and Air Force) and provide complete control (99 years lease) of one of the suitable Bangladeshi islands in Bay of Bengal, that can be turned into a PLAN Naval base
