India Developing, but still a long way to go

I just drove from Bangalore to Coimbatore (400 km)....Pleasantry surprised to see the beautiful 6 and 4 lane roads all the way. Reminded me my USA driving....thoroughly enjoyed driving....India indeed growing and that to very good pace....

History is witness that OEM's can integrate myriad stuff in such set-ups.

Hehe ... when the Berlin Wall was coming down Russian OEM'S were knocking together washing machines and tractors to survive. EU, US and everybody else has been in that game; just check the story of Enfield motorcycle Co.'s UK parent. Once you get all the variables together like labour, design, space etc. you are in biz.

Coversely, I witnessed a Halwaii cum tent-wallah in a govt. ĺocality turn his hand to integration. Buses. He built buses, body and shell, out of semi trucks. His 'factory' was the open slip road of a big road inside a major S.Asian city. At 1 time he was a top 10 builder and had even hijacked the pocket size park beside his Halwai shop.
