What's new

India Developing, but still a long way to go

Info. you can find but there's more to it.

1992 Vashi Int. Infotech Park was done with the same idea of rail cum office space. Let alone IT power, at the time India was considered a basket case having just flown it's sovereign Gold to London as collateral for a bail out loan. The Vashi project became the anchor or node around which a local mid rise, office downtown complex emerged.

Gen. later, this 6 million sq. ft. projects viability is not in doubt but may actually be gobbled up in advance. And will fall short of demand.

India has moved on to gen. 2 of outsourcing business. Dozens of demand driven, 10 million sq. ft. projects are coming up all over India, some are even marquee type like award winning rmz ecosphere.

For eg. Tata's Chennai Siruseri office:

Off topic, the above Mumbai Suburban Mass Transit is the world's busiest @ 7.5 million users daily and growing. The system is being fixed with metro cross lines, mono rail extentions and full blown rail extensions. Higher capacity, higher speed rakes and quad platforms are in. The system delivers > 50 % of IR profits and will easily expand to 10 million users per day within Modi govt.'s tenure given pent up demand. I say being in Toronto style double-deckers and quad or double sided platforms. Mumbai's lifeline - Indian hardware, software and mgmt. acumen at it's cheapest, functional best and soon enough, Global class. Pls., bring in AC too and double the user base!

:offtopic: The US economy, never underestimate, added some 1.7 Lakh jobs overall this quarter.

1 Banglore alone is adding 1 Lac tech. jobs since this year. Or 1/4 Lac uber end jobs. Stats in India are so-so, I've heard each IT job generates 7-10 jobs in the secondary and tertiary economy.

It's ~ 1.7 US Vs. 2 Lac's Banglore :yahoo: !

Indeed the the US is in trouble then and Banglore boom is real, no matter population disparity which has it's own advatagous-disadvantages. Similar yet a little modest numbers across other Southie cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Trivendrum.

Idea. Global oil crash has made Modi Govt's infra credit rate plumb. Why not fast track infra build-out with24 hr. 3 phase shift work to leverage cheap Global money supply and vast employment generation demand at the bottom to mid level of the population pyramid.

Pakistan should privatize Pakistan Railways by privatizing the management of Railway Stations, Manufacturing facility, and the Trains but not the Railway Tracks.

^^
Bombaywallah, what about non-Indians ?

Otherwise, India must be developing because above pics look like nothing before, I don't know of any local type or even foreign country with such colour full metro mass rapid systems across that many cities. Not 1.

It's ~ 1.26 Lac entire US per mnth. Vs. 8,333 tech jobs or about 8333 x 8.5 = 70,000 Bang. jobs alone per mnth. :yahoo: !
