King Nawaz is also a supporter of TTP and RAW. General Raheel launched Zarb-e-Azb himself without any political support because King Nawaz was too busy negotiating with TTP terrorists.

Nawaz forms 4-member committee for peace talks with TTP

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced that he has made a four-member committee for negotiations with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He was addressing the National Assembly on Wednesday.

The members of the committee are veteran journalists Irfan Siddiqui and Rahimullah Yusufzai‚ former ambassador Rustam Shah Mehmand and former ISI official Major (retired) Amir.

The premier added that terrorism and peace talks cannot happen at the same time, further stating that instances of violence will not be tolerated any more.

Nawaz also said that Islam is a religion of peace and it does not condone terrorism.

He expressed sorrow over the lives lost in terror attacks, stating that he can only empathise with the victims’ families.

With a thinly-veiled reference to General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, the prime minister also remarked that one dictator has turned Pakistan into a centre of terrorism.

After hearing about the formation of the committee, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that the formation of the committee was not discussed with him and his party.

Govt wants result-oriented talks with Taliban: PM’s special assistant Irfan Siddiqui

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Irfan Siddiqui said the first mandate of the Peace Committee would be to establish contacts with Taliban for dialogue.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday evening‚ he said the contact numbers of the committee would be publicized and the other side would be encouraged to contact its members too.

He said the committee would determine the next course of action after contacts had been established and a response received. He said it would be appreciable if the other side also nominated a committee or some individual for contact and dialogue.

The special assistant said the government understood that Taliban too, have appreciated nomination of the members.

Siddiqui said in response to a question that the committee is empowered to make necessary decisions. He said the talks did not have a time frame as yet but would always be a priority.

I take it the selective history comes to the rescue.

Let me give you short story:

Imran Khan had been maintaining pro-TTP stances since 2007, and even during the time TTP almost killed Malala Yousufzai and killed more than 50,000 people in the last seven years. It all started from Zardari government who assumed the leadership after Musharraf resigned.

Under PMLN leadership, Imran Khan continued to maintain pro-TTP stances and asked for peace negotiation in the meeting where General Kiyani attended with military proposal. The article you are posting is the result of Nawaz Sharif going with Imran Khan's peace negotiation proposal with TTP over General Kiyani's proposal, Military operation.

Imran Khan's peace negotiation plan backfired, and Imran Khan distanced himself from the heat like coward. Nawaz Sharif was put in the pressure so he agreed to do the military operation. That was before power-sharing agreement which means General Raheel had no call at all. Nawaz Sharif officially launched the mission because only he was authorized to launch the military mission.


When the military operation started, Imran Khan was still in foul mood. He was still adamant that the military operation was mistake. The military operation succeeded and he is nowhere to be found. He is the only one in the history of Pakistan to ever protest hard for TTP, hence the title 'Taliban Khan'.

General Raheel had no authoritative agreement before power-sharing agreement signed. In the history of Pakistan, military operation has been launched against MQM three times, and three times happened under the ruling of PMLN. It cannot be coincident. There is the reason why Karachi hates Nawaz Sharif and adore Musharraf who put MQM on the map, thus the result of Karachi plagued with instability, chaos.

TTP was born under the leadership of General Musharraf. MQM was allowed to flourish under the leadership of General Musharraf. As usual, democratic elected government, PMLN, is cleaning the mess made by General Musharraf.
