That's great! We used to do something similar for the Children in our squadron.
We'd get the commander dressed up as Santa, then stick him an in AT-38B. He wouldn't fly it, but he'd taxi the jet to a corner of the base and the kids would watch Santa arrive in his jet. Then he'd unload presents from the back seat.
I wish I had some pictures of it. I didn't take nearly enough pics of my active duty time.
Here's a jet from my squadron, 434th "Red Devils." We did have some religious guys very upset about the squadron patch and name. They insisted on being transferred to another squadron!
