Green Retreat and Summer Retreat Hotels are centrally located in heavenly surroundings right in of the highest mountain peak of the area 'Miranjani' (2980m - 9775ft). Its spell binding surroundings and the enchanting view of the lush green pine woods around it will entrance ur souls, an experience you will never forget. The unspoilt wilderness around the hotel offers countless walking trails which are a tremendous joy to explore. The rich variety of the flora and faunna along these trails make them a paradise for trackers and naature lovers. The predominantly conifer forest ecology is highly conductive for the growth of wild life including leopards, flying-foxes, jackals, monkeys and a vriety of wild birds and pheasants. Memorable outdoor Barbecue evenings on weekwneds with live music entertainment and traditional bon fire during peak summer is an experience that will keep jingle bells ringing in your ears for a long time.

i like those mountain resorts but they look too out of date. There is a lot of opportunities; not sure if there are a lot of tourists there or just locals going?

Those are mostly hundreds of years old forts and buildings restored as hotels. Hence the outdated feel. Gives more expression IMO.

The tourists all but dried up when the WOT started, it's just started to pick up again. Local tourists have increased by quite a bit though.

KPK did extremely well this Eid. VERY IMPRESSIVE and the load was managed very professionally as well, well done to the concerned authorities there.

Someone from family was going to visit Chitral but the Lowari tunnel was closed unfortunately. They are still in Timirghar trying to figure out where they should spend the next three four days  (i recommended Swat as it is relatively closer)

yes rustic is great. There is so much potential. Unfortunately a friend is not keen to come there due to militancy

No militancy in northern areas if Pakistan, it is just a media myth, blown out of proportion. The area bordering Afghanistan like some areas of FATA has this problem. Pakistan is a big country in area as well, the landmass is quite big and distances are huge.
Check this video of Dutch female tourist visiting Pakistan, Hunza and other areas, all alone on a heavy bike.
More videos will open up in the side bar of YouTube, about her visit.
