I had initially planned to return home in May, but due to some rather pleasant changes in circumstances I am able to visit Delhi and Taipei in the best time of the year. Going there next month in mid-January.

I'll be spending most of my time in Delhi and a few days in Taiwan.

I'm not a major shutterbug but I will post pictures as much as possible.

DELHI, I missed you so much:smitten::smitten::smitten:

Also, my father-in-law is turning 60 and there will be a big celebration. I want to give a nice gift so any ideas and suggestions are welcomed:bounce::bounce:

Does your father in law drink? how about a nice bottle of single malt whisky?

No matter how hard you try,you CANNOT woo a Taiwanese chick,so dont waste your time in that direction.
Shopping is ultra expensive and food is exactly the same as chinese.
So Taiwan is boring as hell,to me at least...

May be you can find some enjoyment there,i couldnt...
facepalm.....
i assume you didn't bother reading the post.

id rather clutch for my life in taiwan then got into india

does ur wife live in india or taiwan... tell her to stay in taiwan its not very good for a woman to be in delhi alone

I had some taiwanese friends of my cousin that came over once but they were all guys and I took them to the casino which they enjoyed but I made them try lassi which I thought they would like but they hated it lol

odd, the wife is in love with lassi, especially mango lassi :P

If you planning to visit Goa do try Fenny, its a cashewnut or coconut alcohol. :smitten:

Ahh maybe I should of got them to try mango lassi instead of salted, my dad turned 60 also recently and we all contributed to buy him a watch and a ipad2.

May be some collectors items, like vintage watch,or some vintage stuff like an old camera that will bring back his childhood memories?

yea salt may have been the issue. it seems sugar works better for asian taste buds.

You said your father in law is a smoker what about a nice silver engraved lighter? as a ex smoker I would of loved one of those instead of those cheap ones.
