GHQ embarrassed by White House - "No indication Afghan refugees in Pakistan have engaged in extremism"

Pakistan allowed NATO to establish its base of operations in Afghanistan after 9/11. Pakistan also allowed Afghan Taliban to regroup and wage a civil war in Afghanistan while the Establishment refuted these claims in official capacity. Pakistan is now bearing the consequences of this duality in War On Terror. Afghan Taliban is now playing the same game that the Establishment was playing during War On Terror and the Americans are having fun.

Afghans do not accept Durand Line in general but Afghan Taliban Pakistani Ummah Chummah bhai bhai.

US had repeatedly conveyed to Pakistan to dismantle Taliban groups, to no avail.

Here WE are now.
A guy name Ahmed Qurashi reporting to US media in 2021 said, Taliban has safe houses and sanctuaries between Pak-Afghan border... lolll

The United States is the root cause of many security related problems in Pakistan.

Pakistan is in China camp. China has always been Pakistan's best and most reliable ally. The US can keep cajoling India. Only a fool would ally with a backstabber like the US. It is due to US meddling in Afghanistan that Afghans are today destroying and burdening Pakistan. No wonder that the US snake is defending its assets.

I am glad that the Americans are revealing their venem again. It will put the stupid generals in their place.

While I understand the hate against the US, just look at what it did to the Russian economy with a flick of a switch. What it then did to its military is for the world to see.

China itself while being self-reliant in specific categories, is nowhere near the level the West collectively is, and even China is moaning at times as they will soon feel the effects.

Had the establishment not screwed around and toyed with its population last several decades and allowed the invisible hand of the economy and those with brains to run the show besides low-caste people like the Sharif family running the country, we could've stood somewhere on the global map and ranking and pushed our weight.

No one told our generals to get in bed with the Americans. It was their choice, and they and the rest will live with the consequences. When you go to a whore house, it's not the whores fault you get STD.

Not all of KPK was part of the Sikh Empire Wtf 😂

KP was not part of Afghanistan. The Durand Line was created as a clarified line of control. Just like Central Poland was created as a line of control between the USSR and Nazi Germany.

It doesn't mean Poland was historically a divided part of these countries.

It would be very easy for Pakistan to end the refugee programme and deport all the refugees and hunt down any illegals but they won't. They want the money from the UN, who's pockets it goes to who knows but they have compromised Pakistan's security, unsettled the social fabric for pocket change.

More importantly - with some 20000 brought in and probably more in country - Afghans now have the ear of the US representatives who all engaged with them for photo ops.

The tactical leadership has bumbled so badly its Hamid Gul strategies have really Gulled away

Told you so folks.

An American snake can never be trusted. Especially an American snake that has support of Pakistani generals. One big nasty cabal that needs to be broken ASAP.

The Americans aren't realising that despite the generals being cowards still have the ability to completely move into the China camp. Make no mistake. Pakistan is already in the Chinese camp, but such incredibly stupid remarks will push it over the line.

The irony is that a conflict between the US and the Pakistani generals suits us very well. We won't rest until Pakistan has fully shown papa America a big middle finger and moved into China camp.
And, America can apply restrictions on Pakistan that it placed on North Korea, Iran, Cuba, or Afghanistan.

Hi,

During US occupation the terrorism against pakistan was US sponsored---. It was US military that controlled afg---they allowed the terrs to attack pakistani soil.
....and ISI was providing logistics to IEA, treatment to their wounded and thus controlling them.
No wonder every US President and General branded army as cheats.
...and it was not for the great love of Pakistan, but GHQ/ISI Super govt interests.

Imran Khan never understood the threat of Al-Qaeda Network, an organization that was courting and funding TTA in the 1990s and Pakistani tribal groups that collectively formed TTP in 2007. Al-Qaeda Network was brainwashing and recruiting people for its terroristic causes.

US came to dismantle Al-Qaeda Network in the region and put pressure on Pakistan to dismantle Taliban groups in tandem. But Pakistan allowed TTA to rebuild itself and negotiate with TTP. Ex-COAS Raheel Sharif gave a good thrashing to TTP but it was able to regroup in TTA-controlled sectors in Afghanistan while Pakistani were busy bashing US-backed Afghan setup. Imran Khan allowed TTP to return to Pakistan. This policy of appeasement is why the War On Terror continues for Pakistan.

1. TTA supports TTP.
2. TTP demands removal of Pakistan Army from tribal regions.
3. Afghans do not accept Durand Line as border.
4. BLA is also able to find space to do its bidding.

How Pakistan can move forward from this mess and realize those wonderful goals you have in mind?

TTA will approve regional interconnectivity projects to the benefit of Afghanistan and not out of love for Pakistan. TTA wants to reduce dependence on Pakistan to meet Afghan economic needs.

Pakistan's (Alice in the Wonderland) Afghan policy has damaged US - Pakistan relations and India will benefit from this situation. Heck, TTA has invited India to complete its projects in Afghanistan.

Strategic depth, my friend.

Why you blaming US in this matter? As if you do not know what was going on? See my post above.

You need to understand that Pakistan has to rebuild relations with the US. There are no alternatives to this market and power.

US has given Pakistan breathing space with recent IMF bailout package. It is due to this package that GOP is able to increase salary package of many people to help them cope with rising inflation.

Pakistan does have to rebuild its relationship with the US, no doubt. It was the reason it knew the GWOT was going to fail and was hedging its bets, considering it was Benzair’s government in the 90s to have relations with the Talibs for transit routes to Central Asia. Since the fall of the Soviet Union Pakistan has always tried to persue a strategy that allows it to become a bridge to Central Asia while trying to pacify its western border and end the risk of irredentist claims.

Now that Pakistan has a unified Afghanistan the most friendly (not because of their ideology but because they are for the most part diplomatically isolated) it could hope for on its border, it needs to seize the opportunity and forge a lasting agreement and embed itself to create interdependence the Afghans can’t easily shake off.

Not strategic depth persay, but at least a neutral state that will allow Pakistan to do business in and through to Central Asia which is gaining more interest from the US, in the aftermath of the Russian war in Ukraine. Even the US wants India to see Central Asia up to the Caucasus and the Caspian as part of their area of responsibility. There is a new Great Game afoot, and it provides Pakistan with the best opportunity to mend fences with the US.

Pakistan needs a section of the foreign ministry that focuses on Central Asia, like a Laser.

As for the Pak Deep State, only $300b a year "recreational stuffs" trade matters as far as Afganistan is concerned. They get into action only when this trade faces any problem. The rest doesn't matter....

According to the former Turkish Interior Minister, Suleyman Soylu, the narcotic trade is controlled by the CIA....

Now, you can connect the dots....

A US state dept official threatened the Pak Deep State last year, and the rest is history....

There's also an Ummah syndrome affecting Pakistanis to this day. We need to come over it. Afghans, Uyghurs, Central Asians, Bangladeshis etc. need to be deported.

As it is our country is overpopulated and unsustainable so we simply cannot take this additional burden.

Tell that to GHQ and generals. Not us.

Before deporting them - a more constructive step would be
Free birth control and pills for everyone in our rural areas, mixed in with increasing the education levels of our female populace

A more cheaper and effective way is to regulate food production. We produce far more food than we need. Our rural areas are much too fertile, resulting in too much calorie consumption and explosive birthrates.
